I noticed the phone numbers as well, but upon inspection of the close-up photo it looks like they may have been intentionally blurred. I don't think that's the case for the other image, but nonetheless I still can't make them out.

Yeah, the phone numbers have definitely been blurred beyond recognition in the close-up photo, but not the other. I'm taking that as a sign they're not relevant.

Looking at the dog tag this morning, I think we're either dealing with one long name or two short names. I'm all out of guesses right now, but here are my current thoughts:

-The first two letters at the beginning are clearly CO
-The next two or three letters are very difficult to make out, although the last of those appears to be Y, I, or A.
-The next letter is either N, X, or H.
-The next letter, which could the the first of the second word, looks to be round... maybe an O, or O'?

After that... no idea...

I tried the names of all 9 Greek Muses

Without knowing absolutely that it is R.Portney at skyincoporated.org I am having to try way to many combinations each time I guess. I tried GIMPing the business card but GIMP's dodge tool is meh. Maybe better luck in Photochop?

Have you tried using a magnifying glass on those letters on the hard copies? zooming in pixilates too much and confuzzles things.

On the original, it's very clear that it's either R.Portney or R_Portney, and I lean very heavily towards the former. That said, I'm not totally sold on us having to enter Mr. Portney's e-mail address into that field. I'm thinking that it should be our own, so that the new password can be sent to us.

Sure have, and the original copy is unfortunately just as pixilated as the scan. I've been looking at the originals at different angles to let the light play off of them in various ways, but all I've been able to get is what I put in my last post...

I think it's probably win-win to use Mr. Portney's e-mail address. Scenario 1, it's required, and using it with the correct Name/ID# gives us immediate confirmation. Scenario 2, it's not required, and using it with the correct Name/ID# still gives us confirmation... but we find out if an e-mail is supposed to be sent to us, at which point we can enter the info again with our own address.

This would cut down on the number of combinations to try. Plus, I just feel like they wouldn't give us his e-mail addy if it wasn't meant to be used.

Mmmm. PostLarval, I see your point, and you've won me over. Thanks.

Now we just have to figure out the name of the dog... Bang Head

I really thought I was onto something with the Muses. What would a Design Lead name his dog that has anything to do with A) JFK and Harold R. McAlindon or B) creativity, innovation and dreams?

Yeah, I thought that was a really good direction as well...

In other news: I managed to erase enough ball-point pen off of Mr. Portney's e-mail address to confirm for certain that it's R.PortneySPLATskyincorporated.org, so at least we don't have to think about that little mystery any more.

I'm in.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The dog's name is "Corbyn," btw. That's what it looked like to me every time I examined the tag, but I couldn't figure out why I couldn't make it work. A new note on the SkyInc website explains why:

"To help keep the work load of our support staff low, please remember that your ID must be prefixed with SKY. This has been one of the biggest sources of problems."

If you go to the "Forgot Password?" screen and type in the answer (Corbyn) and the correct ID (SKY2150P22) together with your personal email address, you too will get the password! (Note, when logging in, that your username is not R.Portney, but SKY2150P22.)

Richard currently has only one file in his shared space: File.mp3, a somewhat menacing daily log from a Dan Swenson (a SkyInc manager?) that seems to be speaking about John's status and that of the resistance. I can do a transcript if you give me a sec.

Log 142145. Operator Dan Swenson (Swensen?), executive, Sky Incorporated. The newest report from First R&D has come in on Subject 012491. His vital signs are stagnant and have shown no signs of change. It matters not anyway. We have all we need. We have the people on their knees, we have businesses on their knees, and we will have any resistance on their knees. That is, if they have any left. A video was intercepted on its way to the Sky Video Distribution Center showcasing a resistance member begging for more members. What weakness. I have given instructions to analyze the file for any traces back to the source. All results will be sent to Ms. Parker, and I shall await further instruction. End log.

The phone number dialed is the same as we've been given before:

Nice ArbutusWD. Thanks!

So Caitlin's transmission was intercepted, and now we know there's a Ms. Parker. My money's on Sasha. If so... daughter, or wife?

For the time being, it looks like nothing here leads us anywhere else. Guess we watch and wait.

Nice work Arbutus.

But I wonder how you got the password.
After filling out the "Forgot password?" screen I just got the following message:
"Your password has been emailed to you. Please check your SkySet."

And now?

[UPDATE] Oh, I have first put R.Portney's email address in the email field. I now see that I can put my own email address in this field...
Normally this does not work on "real" sites.

So all the work to figure out Portney's coorect email was not really needed!

Hey guys, i've been away for a little while. I'm sorry.

I've moved to west Tennessee from Georgia (dad's family), and the move kinda made things difficult for a little bit. Just thought i'd check in.
