Q26

A big thanks to ifihadahifi for helping me with the colors. I've had other IQ quizzes where I would miss the answer because of the colors. My picture in this one was a symbol seen on tape/CD/DVD players. No constellations involved.

I think it would be interesting to someday list the different pictures we got just to see the variety.

I don't see any connection with this set of puzzles yet. And the theme of missing stuff didn't really apply to this one.

Error in 26

I finally got my answer.

But there is an error in my table list. I am quite sure that in row 11 it should be:
- - 2 4 - - -
- - 2 5 - -

instead of
- - 2 1 - - -

[EDIT] Attached image of the "wrong" table

I also wanted to post a quick note that if you think there is an error in a puzzle, use the "MessageBox" option on the left column and send a message regarding the mistake. I've written to them a couple times and they are very cooperative. Be sure to be polite. Kie-yeo's Q24 definitely has an error. And it looks like AUZ's Q26 has one, too.

AUZ505,
I don't think that there is an error. That's the same table that I received. There are two 1's in the map. I think that row 11 refers to the second 1.

Yes, you are right. I was confused by the two green 1's and took for a line the wrong one (or the wrong "1") Smile

Q27 and Q28 are available. I'm still working on the relationship to the images in Q27 but I have a small problem.

All of the images I have are valid except for one. I have an image of a triangle with sides of length 0.25, 0.25, 0.50. These are not valid measurements for a triangle.

Yeh, i've spotted that too. My other shapes are all valid (a big blue circle, a small light green square, and a big red rectangle). I've worked out the relevant areas.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
5.093, 0.25, 7 in order as above

The dark green 'triangle' you mention would effectively be a straight line of 0.5 length.

Also my letters begin to spell out some words, the first 6/7 characters could make sense. Is it the same for you? I have 20 letters, each one unique, and the 6 letters omitted are some of the lesser used letters in the english alphabet. I've been trying to anagram, but other than coming up with some fairly amusing (and crude) sequences of words i'm not getting anywhere. My highlighted letters are

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
P (dark green), A (red), L (blue) which had led me onto PALcodes

but again i'm not getting anywhere Rolling Eyes

And dang it, they are colored. An isosoles triangle has 2 equal sides doesn't it?

EDIT...just thought about it....the sides equal the length of the other side. duh for me.

Q28 is fierce. Penalty for incorrect guess, 1 IP. Value if correct, 0.9 IP. So if you guess wrong the first time, you are losing points.

My wife looked at the colors and this is her report:
green, red, dark green, red, light green, green, maroon, blue, blue, red.

for the colored letters, green P, red A, and blue L.

Are we looking to replace the shapes with letters on Q27? This one is quite brutal. Not looking forward to number 28.

Q27

I'm still stuck pretty good. Are the areas of each figure important? Or perimeters? Or just the color?
