Q-36
tricks

I doubt this puzzle deals with magic tricks, but at this stage who knows? Anyway, every great magic trick has three acts. Act 1-The Pledge. The magician shows you something ordinary, but of course, it probably isn't. Act 2-The Turn. The magician makes this ordinary something do something extraordinary, and this leaves you hanging or wondering. Act 3-The Prestige. The magicians finale. Sometimes what we see is not real. Sometimes what is real, we don't see. Sometimes what we think is real, is just an illusion.
The first card is a 3. Do you think I'm in too deep for just the first card?

The hint has been posted. The first card, 3 of spades, is bordered in red. Also, I see that the penalty points has been reset to .05. I sent a message asking if that is an error. Maybe they think that the hint makes this too easy.
I received a reply from WIQ:

"Yup, it was an error. It showed 0.05 but the Penalty was 0.01. It now shows 0.01."

 movies

Haven't seen enough movies...got any suggestions. Oh, No mystery movies... can't figure them out. No cliff-hangers...they worry me. Nothing scary... I can't sleep after them. I believe in UFOs, and some science fiction, I think can really happen. Rolling Eyes

Q 36

This question has been a stumbling block for a long time. I finally saw it. It is so simple that I was making it hard. The IPs are very low indicating that it is not complicated. HINT:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
These cards have for face cards a Jack, Knight, Queen and King. That makes the K=14.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The symbols are not important

Congratulations, magicrock.

I am sure that it is simple, nevertheless I do not have any idea.
Is the "three" somehow related to the "N" - I mean does the solution start with "N"?

UPDATE: Funny coincidence:

I tried to translate the number into letter taking 14 as 1 and 4 (because 14 was not that sucessful):
3 1 4 1 5 9 --> cadaei
Since this makes no sense I tried different ROTs and ROT4 results "GEHEIM", which is german and means "secret" Smile

Q36

This is NOT the answer but it could have been. Infact I tried several variation, all incorrect, until I figured out the real answer.

It may be a coincidence but:
A is the 1st letter in the alphabet
E is the 5th letter in the alphabet
I is the 9th letter in the alphabet

See a pattern emerging?

The clue...
3r159

I thought the answer was "vowels"
My logic was "3 are 1, 5, 9".
I wasted serveral IPs on: vowels, aeiou, ou and several other.

So don't try that. Smile

So the observation that the cards are for Tarot is correct. We've been working on this for nearly 2 weeks. Great job magicrock. What was you 'AHA!' moment?

OMG!!

That was the best hint so far, magicrock. Great team effort on releasing the hints for that one.

Q-41

Looks like we are to the meat of this test. LOTS OF ADVERTISMENTS. Hummmmmm. Has an underlying motive been discovered? I'm suspicious about continuing. What thinks ye?

Q41

Well, it's interesting that there are 2 rows, one showing 2 ads at a time, and the 2nd row showing 4 ads at a time. If you hit the scroll arrows on each row, you get more ads, most showing IQtests and some IQair purifiers. Maybe it's still a puzzle, disquised with ads. It has Medium Variants, so I wonder how mine compares to others.

So after 10 days of mulling over Q36 i finally had my Eureka moment whilst in a half asleep state this afternoon. Funny how these things just come to you if you give them enough time.

Onward bound to catch you lot up!
