There's some hex-code deciphering to work out somewhere, IMO.

just for ref really, but I can see some interesting connections here Shocked

Quote:
WORD HISTORY The word hex is a good example of the sort of borrowing from other languages that occurred in the English-speaking former colonies of Great Britain. German and Swiss immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania in the late 17th and 18th centuries spoke a dialect of German known as Pennsylvania Dutch. In this dialect hexe was the equivalent of the German verb hexen, "to practice sorcery." The English verb hex, first recorded in the sense "to practice witchcraft" in an 1830 work called Annals of Philadelphia, is borrowed from Pennsylvania Dutch, as is the noun.

Yeah I saw Hex as in 'curse' of Witchcraft to begin with

But didn't we all find more numbers we assumed were phone #s after the actual number?

That mixed w/ all those letters we found (All those Es etc?)... Can create a Hex Code without problem.

Sorry, I can be obtuse at times.. ><

I was meaning the connection to Byberry (which is mentioned in the Annals, the area, not the hospital btw), PSH, and the dutch reference and previous statements about amandel's 'native language' where previous thought of the morse code, could actually further Tres Bien's comment (although, I guess, Pennsylvania Dutch is a ways from current Dutch).. when I read it I thought I just had to post.. I never considered the witchcraft bit.. Rolling Eyes

btw, aren't you supposed to be keeping your head down Leyton.. ><

Tex... Smile

EDIT: btw, nearest I could get to the numbers from the 'mataleon' audio was 478 9910 69590, from this reversed file (couldn't get it much clearer without destroying the vocal).

EDIT2: my other thought is that Mona speaks this old language maybe she was from that time, because I read that 'they built on top, she lived there' was that they built the hospital on top of where she lived, because atm, the have only levelled the site, not built..? I am unsure...

making the hex, 1975

the coordinates from the door knob *don't* appear to divide neatly into groups of six:

146,315,147,325,149,325,
152,320,152,311,153,310,
158,314,165,316,170,314,
177,308,182,300,181,291,
180,286,177,284,174,283,
168,282,167,283,160,285,
159,287,152,280,148,283,
145,285,143,286,139,285,
136,291,132,294,130,296,
129,299,129,307,129,312,
130,315,131,319,134,320,
136,321,139,320

Also, 1975 didn't activate thye voice mail box either.

Tex, was also pondering a Pennsylvania Dutch tie-in which the Amish there still speak because of the hallway tag: Thee (vision tactics) which many Pennsylvania Quakers still use in familiar vernacular instead of the word "you".

Maybe we should all try some German(which is closest to this dialect) with Mona?

amandel, I think German was echo's intention since you've translated from that previously. Wink

Got a reply from the head of the PA State Archives. Long story short is that patient records are restricted. I'll be happy to post the letter (it's long) or forward it to anyone who wants to see it.

Tried searching the archives of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, but they only go back to 1978. If someone is in college and wants to check the library's microfiche collection for a fire at PSH Byberry in '75, it would be interesting to see what might turn up. Still hoping that the right search terms in google will turn up something.

I still think some of those numbers grouped w/ the amount of "un-necessary" letters (E's) we've found create a Hex pattern somewhere.

echo hallway

just found this map of byberry. one of the features is named "echo hallway." this is odd considering our echo appears to be a person that died in the rain in a motorcycle accident. possibly in 1975.

reading more on the site now....

EDIT: i didn't get anything out of the rest of the site.

Nice work with the Byberry map walkingpaper! My impression is that echo acts as a spokesperson for a group.

Before I forget, not sure it's important but I think the door2 pic has three hands on it. I see one to the right of the echo hand and one just below the door knob plate.

I would suggest that we may possibly need a new UN and PW for the hallway, it could be with Echo as the UN, have tried a few keywords but nada so far.

Wow, lots of good stuff going on today!

First, Tres, I am actually sitting at my desk at a college so I will do a search of records of 1975 and Byberry etc. and see if anything pops up. I wont have access to the microfiche today, but the library's fiche is all tracked online so I can at least see what is available. If something comes up I'll go have a looksie later tonight or tomorrow. I'll also do a search in of scholarly journals including medicine journals and see if I get any hits.

Also, Revslees, I am thinking that "all around" just means that souls hang around or. as one popular theory states, souls become part of the lifestream and are the basis for all life. Then again, PMs just LOVE double entendre dont they?

Not sure if or how this fits, but this makes me think of the Luxor. The Sphinx and the Luxury...not that the Luxor is all that luxurious...I dunno, just an observation.

Welcome to toupiie and revsleestaxx.

amandel, I just looked up the name origin of margaret/margarete and the wiki says "Margarete Estonian, (German)" so I feel sure that's what echo meant.

Thanks for taking on the mona lisa/Byberry fire research Hawk. I have a rabid dislike of microfiche machines! Hope you can access the Philadelphia Inquirer archives as I think that's our best bet.

My guess about the Byberry site is that the spirits who died there are disturbed that the site is not being treated as the sacred place it should be. The people and what happened to them there should not be forgotten. The more I read about its history, the more disturbing it is.
