Ley, I thought everything to Mona had to be in Hex, not Morse?

And edited. It now reads:

Quote:
Mona can you hear me? I'm quite sensitive to the spirit world so if there's anything you wish to communicate at this moment, feel free to do so. I understand it may take you some time to get the energy to respond, I'll be patient.

So glad you came around to the seance idea I proposed last week. Smile Now if Kendra and waitress and anyone else still would like to try it, perhaps we could arrange it over the weekend or some other time at everyone's convenience. Of course, it wouldn't be like a sit-down, hand-holding event, but I thought our combined energy might help improve our communication with the spirits. I think it's worth a shot. What do y'all think?

Trillian, warm welcome to you! I'm sure you can make great contributions especially since you speak German. Have you tried communicating with the spirits yet? I hope you will. Enjoyed your research--we're really getting a good feel for what poor conditions existed at Byberry.

Tres, I was never *against* it per sae.

It's just... OOG, I am quite "sensitive" to those things and have held a couple of seances before and done some 'ghost hunting research and investigations'

I just kind of personally feel that invoking real spirits (or possibly doing so, by reacreating events like seances) for the sake of progressing here wouldn't exactly be the best choice...

It's kinda like opening a ouija board when you have no idea what you're doing *shrug* lol

Awesome Ley...just didnt want you wasting your time Smile

Also, I think keeping things as real as possible and interacting with the characters as humanely as one can is always a good thing.

i'm down with trying a seance!

what will this look like?

my suggestion is that we figure out time zone logistics and all email mona or margaret at the same time. actually, we should all email one of them the *same* email. maybe that sort of focus/concentration will help the communication. i'd help craft the message.

what else could we do?

I dont want to be the party pooper, but its been indicated to us that we need to be patient, at least for right now. "Human impatience" was used in response to multiple emails. Sending Mona tons of emials all at once might not be a great idea. Is there a way to perform a ritual without spamming anyone?

What I was thinking was to have an IRC chat to see if one of the spirits could break through. Maybe I'll see if echo has any thoughts about it before proceeding. I figure they must have imagined we'd consider this at some point.

ETA: I sent this to echo: "Hello echo. If it would help facilitate communication for all of us to gather together at once, I'd be happy to schedule it. If it would be at all upsetting to do so, of course we won't. Please advise."

Sending languages, secret messages
But I haven't found you yet

Hey guys,

Great ideas all around. I'm totally on board with a seanace, maybe in IRC chat and seeing if the spirits can come through. If they can't it's still okay, and we'd just be able to bounce ideas off each other about how we can free everyone in the meantime. I definintely think our endgame is to help each spirit find whatever it is they need to ascend/find Grace/find freedom whether this is an action or physical stuff we can do.

If anyone is worried about bad things happening during our seanace- we could take "precautions." Grounding spells, maybe people standing by ready to do potential cleansing rituals should something go awry.

Also got some other e-mails from Echo while looking up Limbo and Dante's Inferno during lunch:

Echo first wrote:

Quote:
answers will come in time

pleas

long time for words to cross

much distance to hear

traveling

margaret mona deeper ring longer time words in ether

i am on 11

close to your world

quick to relay

I also think we might need to help Margaret, Mona and Company first before Echo. The second e-mail I got said, no subject:

Quote:
closest to human

farthest from freedom

If we follow Dante, I wonder if this means Echo is in Purgatory for one of the seven deadly sins (past the ninth circle of hell) which would put Echo in the Lust terrace? Not quite sure what scheme of limbo we should use, since I dunno if Dante's would work. Does Earth come in between Heaven and Hell in Inferno? If so, where does Purgatory go through?

Take Care,
Kendra

Kendra

In the Divine Comedy, if I am not mistaken, the journey is in three books...from Hell, through Purgatory, and then into Paradise (Heaven). The deeper in hell, the farther away from the other 2. Like you, I am wondering how it is that Echo is "closer to human, yet farthest from freedom." If Mona and Margaret are deeper than Echo, then one would assume that THEY would be farthest from freedom.

I can only conclude, if we are reading this right, that Echo is telling us that where he is trapped (Hell?) is similar to Dante's Hell in that there are layers or "rings" but that Dante's rules for proximity do not apply? Guess we'll just have to see...

Double Post

Wow, things really quieted down huh? They said be patient, not disappear Smile

Just went through all the sites we have (voices, sleep, door, hallway) and no changes I could detect. Anyone else up to anything?

Not having any new clues to consider, I started a wiki to track info from the pages and echo. I'm just getting tired of scrolling through 28 pages...

Would anyone else like to assemble this info in one central location with me?

I have moved this discussion to CF With Potential, where you fine folks can feel free to make new topics (with [VITS] in the title) for organizing information. Hope this helps! Very Happy

jamesi thanks for the upgrade. I must confess that it took me a couple of minutes to find it here. Anyone have thoughts about how we should organize it?
