This seems to be the most straightforward directive we've received from Mona. I think we need to write a letter, convert it to hex, and email it to a bunch of organizations and Mona.

Agreed. Very Happy

Audio Files

I still think there is lots of stuff we haven't found in the audio files. This weekend I will do what I can to deconstruct the current versions of each file into its component layers and adjust them to the proper speed. I will report what I find here.

Maximus5684Oobie, on behalf of those of us with less experience working with audio files, BIG THANKS!

I was looking at the five links this morning after reading the Despoiler page.

It is probably nothing, but two sites end with .htm
http://voicesinthestatic.com/sleep.htm
http://voicesinthestatic.com/thedoor.htm

The main link does not end with .htm
http://voicesinthestatic.com/
(which shows you can add on more to the link, such as /sleep and /thedoor, etc)

So, the two other websites also don't end in .htm and they are
http://www.voicesinthestatic.com/hallway/
http://www.voicesinthestatic.com/equinox/

Do you think there might be more to add on to those two links?

This might be nothing, but figured i'd just throw it out there...

Web servers work like this:
If you go for a directory, like voicesinthestatic.com/hallway, you will be served the default page (index.html). If you actually go to http://www.voicesinthestatic.com/hallway/index.html, it will be the same as going to http://www.voicesinthestatic.com/hallway/ because the web server will serve you the file named index.html in the folder /hallway/ by default. The same is true for /equinox/ and www.voicesinthestatic.com/.

It is very possible that there are other pages in the /hallway/ and /equinox/ folders that have not been given to us yet. There may also be other pages in the root directory (voicesinthestatic.com/) that have not been found yet. You can find these pages through a manual search, but unless you know a page name, they are very hard to find.

Audio Files

I haven't quite gotten to the audio files yet. Busy weekend. Looks like the /equinox/ file has changed on us anyway. I'll try to work on those tonight, but Fringe and House are on, so I may not have much time.

Hi Max! I'm so hoping that you will find something in the mp3. I failed miserably at hearing anything. But I hardly understand 'our' voices in those files where we already know what they say. Bang Head

Maximus5684Oobie, the original audio files are on the despoiler wiki if you want to find them quickly. It would be great to hear more audio manipulations if/when you get a chance.

I'll be watching House and Fringe tonight too. Smile

We've got a lot of truth apparently
Silence and paitence

I e-mailed Mona when I was worried about Distortion coming for her, but I hadn't gotten anything. I e-mailed Margaret and Echo a few days ago, but no responses on their ends. Maybe in order to counteract Distortion, the crew has to keep mum for a bit.

Take Care,
Kendra

Looking to join in on this one. Is there anything important I need to know that's not on the despoiler page? I'll generally browse through the forum posts thus far, but I don't want too get too bogged down in reading backposts if the despoiler page covers everything pretty well.

I've never been involved in one of these before, so bear with me if I occasionally sound like an idiot.

Also, someone said the audio files were on the despoiler wiki, but I am not seeing them. Are you ripping them from the webpages? If so, how?

Agreed. Very Happy

Craig's list message ("make another hex masterpiece

tell them in masterpiece

show it to me for my freedom") implies to me that we should write a hex letter and send it to Mona. I'm not sure who "them" is, but I feel like she is asking for something to be sent to her. Maybe if we send a satisfactory message to Mona, she'll tell us who else to send it to, if anyone? Just a thought.

Has anyone actually written a letter and sent it to Mona? I know there was discussion of doing so, but I don't know if anyone did.

Alright, I'm posting a lot in rapid succession, but I'm sending an email to Mona with the following in hex, seeing what information I can get if any:

Subject: Who should I tell?

Body: Who did you wrong? What should I tell them?

Echo said you made a list. What is the list for?

I want to help.

We'll see if I get anything in response.

[edit]For future reference, should this have been posted in the communications section, or is that just for if I hear something back?
