[Event] Seattle Drop - Friday Sept. 5th - 12:30 PM Th1rt3en says "Just keep looking" Well the title says it all. New update to 13lights.org.
The link at the top of page says "Just keep looking" and it links to good ol' /map.html The Austin point now says Backup successful.
I believe the Chinook stuff will lead us to where we need to go. I found This froum and wnated to post the text and ask for help in checking our translation and filling in the blanks where we *read PostLarval* wasn't sure.
You need a registered email address to join the forum and I seem to be having trouble with mine. Anybody care to join their forum and post the stuff?

This is probably the best way to go... my understanding of Chinook is definitely limited.
What I've already posted was just a quick translation from memory, and I simply haven't had the time to sit down with any of the online resources (real life will require a lot of me the next few days), but even when I do I wouldn't be completely confident of the accuracy.
For now, in order to locate the next drop, I suppose the last few lines are the ones to focus on. I'll hopefully have a moment later tonight to work on it, but if anyone else can do so too it would be good to have a second opinion.

Sorry for the double post, but I had a new idea...
I just noticed the two new pictures up on the SCOPE terminal. Looking at all four of them together, it reminds me of the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Hall of Fame, which are located up in Seattle (right near the Space Needle).
Chinook happens to be a native language of the Pacific Northwest... and in the line of Chinook that discusses where to go, the phrases 'singing/music' and 'rain' were used.
It's possible this is our next location. Hopefully a hunt through google images can confirm...

I think you're on the right track PostLarval.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Those pics are definitely of the EMP/SFHoF. The car from Blade Runner (FOUR.JPG) is permanently being displayed there.
Subject #2's second to last line *could* (just using the resources you pointed towards) translate as "Thursday after the rain blanket festival/concert" if I'm understanding how the days of the week work in Chinook. This weekend is the Bumbershoot (= umbrella) festival in Seattle, so I think the location is somewhere at the EMP/SFHoF on Thursday, or maybe Friday. I'm still having trouble with the Subject #2's last line: "kalapi kimtah sun sitkum pe laly kopa sitkum". Literally the translation is:
Kalapi = to return, turn, upset, turn over
kimtah = after
sun sitkum = noon
pe = plus
laly = long time
kopa = To; in; at; with; towards; of; about; concerning; there or in that place
sitkum = half
So... 12:30 p.m.? Maybe?

Yep noisy, I actually just looked through my own pictures and confirmed. As for the date:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I was thinking Thursday simply because it's the 4th (i.e. 'the 4th day' (sept 4th), after the rain blanket festival)... but your translation makes even more sense. I think the original transcript was telling us to be there this weekend (possibly today), and then when the Austin package wasn't picked up they gave us an updated transcript pushing things back a few days. The only thing I'm not completely sure of is the time... at first I thought maybe they meant right at noon, but then the update confused me a bit. Even after reviewing it now, I'm still not clear what the last part of that sentence is trying to say. =/
And one more thing worth noting- the festival is at the Seattle Center, which is right where the EMP/SFHoF is located.
And I just noticed your location... you up for the drop?

As long as the time ends up being "reasonable", I should be able to make it.

Great job, guys!

May I suggest using the spoiler tags just for puzzle solves or behind the curtain info. Thanks!

and ya, I was on the fence about whether or not that last bit constituted a 'solve'. Will keep this in mind!

Okay, So I think it's agreed that Seattle's SFHoF will be the general location of the next drop. Exactly where at the museum is still TBD. There is a fifth image on the SCOPE terminal if it helps, though.
As for the date, I agree that the original date would have been today, Sept. 1st after or during the Bumbershoot concert. Bumbershoot=Umbrella=Rain Blanket. The new date is still in question. If the translation or the updated Chinook is correct, then the new date is 4 days after the concert; Friday, Sept. 5th.
The time is a little tricky. 12:30 would seem logical. I really think we need to have our translation checked. I still haven't received my confirmation for forum.americanindiantribe.com Has anyone else found a way of checking the translation?

The fifth image on the SCOPE terminal is the Wild River ride at the Fun Forest Amusement Park, which is located right behind EMPSFM.

Since the museum costs $15 get in, it makes sense that we'd be meeting someplace outside. So, I guess we wait for more SCOPE images to narrow the field... If need be, I can just show up and wander around, as long as we come to a consensus on the date and time. I can get behind Friday at 12:30, although getting confirmation from another source would be comforting.

Hopefully our other source will be Th1rt3en himself in the form of another round of questions. Unless you happen to know some Chinook American Indians...

beat me to it...
I had no luck signing up for that forum either, but I've got some time today to actually look over my original quick impression of the conversation.

Not exactly, but I learned what I know from someone who was pretty well versed in it. Haven't been able to get in touch her though =(

I got pretty much the same result, either noon or 12:30. But I'm using the same online sources you are. On the flip side, so, probably, is 13.

We just got confirmation via 13lights.org that *something* will happen at 12:30 pm PDT on Friday Sept 5th. I think our drop date/time has just been confirmed.

Good to have that confirmation. Though it's odd that the link to the map still says 'just keep looking', with nothing marking Seattle yet. That really couldn't be much more clear.
