Yeah, can someone actually confirm if mailing our addresses is completely safe?

hmm

well, there doesn't seem to be a working e-mail to actually e-mail an address to so yeah...

I'm all up for going in completely in this thing, especially since any address mailed would likely be my work mailbox, which if anything would make work a bit more interesting.

I got a few calls on the cell during TDK too, with a 'blind' concept like this, i'd imagine calls would be likely.

if anyone has e-mailed a mailing address, let me know where ya sent it.

maybe we'll get a new topic tomorrow...

new topic???

don't see anything on the site that's new aside from more posts. I've been trying to log in without success and clicking various standard forum-ish link yield many many error pages

they look generic, i don't see how they could mean anything. i'm hoping this doesn't get too busch league with all the e-mail bouncing and forum errors.

this is what i get everytime i try to log on...

"The change you wanted was rejected.

Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to."

that does seem a bit off for an error message.

1003SPLATiamblind.org isn't bouncing and is being accepted at least for me since 16th

forum working ok here, and I think 'blindguywithglasses' ref by claire isn't nes a ref to a new post in the forum, rather a new name posting the surv cam car crashes, I could be wrong...

plus, dibs to them for the circulation effort, they are hitting plenty of sites, shame they seem to be going for the 'ambulance chasers' with the car crash footage though.. don't mind me, I'm in a fowl (edit lol, or should it be foul, nobody here but us chickens, Rolling Eyes ) mood today Raspberry

Tex...

EDIT mine was sent by gmail

just got the other reference when googling it. it is a pretty massive amount of videos in many sites.

I listened to the argcast where they mention this trailhead and the guy who got the game tip got bounces with his gmail account.. it would be a shame if it's just rejecting gmail in general since it's such a well liked (by me anyway) e-mail service.

cheers.

just a thought here...

been knocking this idea of glasses being the answer to the post on forum for a bit now...

if the answer is indeed glasses, maybe it has to do with the recent car crash video, which to me... looked like it might have been 3-D with the reds and blues in it...

link- http://www.dailymotion.com/related/x6t664_first-look-highway-crash_tech/video/x6t4k0_accident-caught-by-cam?from=rss

so i did some research and found the guy who designed 3-D glasses was blind in one eye.

Quote:
Astronomer Carl Pulfrich, the namesake for the optical illusion created by 3D
Pulfrich glasses
featuring a dark lens and a clear lens, was blind in one eye and never got to see the effect named after him. However, the German optical scholar knew the illusion would exist under the right circumstances.

too much of a stretch??

update: upon further reading about mr. Pulfrich, I found he conceived the notion of 3-D via glasses with one side with a dark lens, the other with a clear, the clear side would reach the brain first and there you have it, so it sort of nulls the connection since the link above seems more like traditional red blue 3-D..

Interesting observation and research Efrain. It's possibly connected. What I noticed on dailymotion is that the videos have dates and places. Accident Caught By Cam says:
Quote:
Recorded: 19 September 2008Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States

and Crash04_08-09-18_v02_Web4x3 says:
Quote:
Recorded: 19 September 2008Location:Beverly hills, California, United States

I'm in a time crunch right now so if someone else would like to gather and post all the cities it might be useful.
amandel, I can imagine you opening that email and ROFLing over it. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, the Pulfrich 3d is indeed the dark and light lenses but i like where you're going with this idea, Efrain. It makes perfect sense with the themes of the story and the riddle by Audrey.

Now the question is, what we're supposed to do? See any new clue in that video with the red-blue glasses? Unfortunatly I don't have any of those lying around at home (not even red or blue celofane!), just the modern Real D ones.

Viewed the "Accident caught by Cam" with both pair of my Mars Rover 3D glasses. Indeed, it's meant to be viewed 3D and red/green gives better depth perception than red/blue. Nothing hidden seen there.

So glad you had 3-D glasses on hand amandel. I was on the verge of trying to borrow a pair, which I hate to do because they give me a headache.

Tres,so nerdy I need them for work but also enjoyed viewing that Medium eppy with them. Rolling Eyes

Also just mentioning that the original 1minute embedded sound file can still be heard by scrolling "i am blind" at the forum. However, the name has been changed to "walla.mp3" from "1003.mp3".

EDIT: a gmail with no subject header

The next shipment will come to you.

Help the others who come to the ward in the meantime. They will need answers.

Looks like everyone who got an email through was on this distribution list. I'm curious about the meaning of shipment -- it gave me a creepy Holocaust vibe. It sounds like we're meant to aid those who've been afflicted with the white blindness in this particular ward.

ETA: Although I've had two emails go through, the one I just sent bounced.
