Regardless of what we could have done differently, if their goal was to get people to see the movie they sure failed with me. In fact, with this ending I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to see it.

Whyzat?
The people who actually made the movie likely had no role in this viral... if you saw the movie and didn't like it, then sure, but otherwise, ..well, it is ultimately up to you, but to me that seems a little extreme. I'd rather just say 'meh' and let people decide for themselves; though, tell them how dumb the game was Razz that's not necessarily a reflection of the movie (which I haven't seen yet, since for some reason it's not playing in my city) - so I'll reserve judgement on that point =)

But 'the game sucked, avoid the movie at all costs!' just seems a little unfair...

but, it is an equal tradeoff, however, of a viral campaign intended to make people think 'the game rocked, go see the movie!'

Well, it was fun working with you guys. I will hopefully get to work on the ARG Tresbien mentioned - see you there! (:

Also, I read that in the movie
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the cause of the blindness is never explained. Maybe kinda lame, but now it fits with the game. I also heard it was really disturbing and brutal Confused It's only playing in one theater near me, and I live near Hollywood...

I think we were successful in creating threads to give newcomers the most important information to catch up, and we formed connections with one another to pass along information. But, as more people became infected and people were isolated, communication faltered, and we didn't hear from Audrey, which led to more confusion.

we might succeeded in creating threads all the time about useless topics. but why they "introduced" her sister, because as it seems there is no relevance. what about c3 and all that stuff.
they tolf us, they will contact belle, but.. yay.. nothing?
-.-
that is not one of the best structured games I know up to this point

Sure can't argue with any of your points Lairosiel. I can only say that I believe I looked at this game differently because I'd read the book. The story is unusual because it's less about beginning and end than about the middle. I can see how some might find it disappointing.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone. lol

Anyway, I was reading through the last couple pages of this thread. And people were looking for new and upcoming games. check out www.rachelswalk.com I did a search for the thread for the game (there is one somewhere), but I can't find it and don't wanna start a new one if someone has better googlefu than me. Anyway, it starts in winter, and something about it seems like it would be good.

So reading the book made this a better experience for you? Or did it just connect some pieces?

As a first time ARGer I feel let down. This was very anti-climatic.

Havent had a chance to check the new one, but I will. See you all there!

Very Happy

There is, however, a new tweet from APV leading to a picture of her sister...
