I got 70% and Chronos.

I hate math. HATE IT. Did I mention I hate math?

And by the by, how-the-hell am I supposed to know whacky math that was invented two years AFTER I graduated from college??

In my day "See and Say" was a disc shaped toy that talked when you pulled the string...."The dogs says, arf arf!" "The bee says, bzzzzzzzz!"

Some of those sequences are really difficult to figure out. I saw some that followed:

a n+1 = a n +(-1) n (x) k
where k is some integer: 2, 3, 4,...
and x is a fibonnaci number: b n+1 = b n + b n-1

I also saw one that was like:

a n+1 = a n + x n - y n-1
where x and y were integers: (3,2), (5,4), ...

And then there was the simple one:

1, 1, 1, 1, ...

Wow, mines where really simple. 2 or 3 of them being the same question but one number further. It was simple as addition, substraction, and multiplication following an easy to understand pattern.

Edit:oh and two "see and say" sequence

The brief meaning/symbolism of the names of these characters from Greek mythology.

Aether = upper sky
Chaos = space
Chronos = time
Hemera = daytime
Nyx = nighttime
Oranos = sky

Well done, Bruce!!!! Soooooooopha-genius!

I was actually able to get the first 4 just by watching the video....though I wasn't sure about the fourth, the C. "THE" was easy enough to recognize. Felt like I was playing POTC again there for a minute! It all fell apart for me visually after that.

To answer the question about the cheat, the actual cheat is to know to look up math squence, conway sequence, look and say sequence....that kind of thing. For the most part the sequences are fairly simple. When it comes to those 13, 1113, etc......knowing what they are in advance is very helpful.

For the record, I got THREE of those in my first run.

Now that we've seemed to reach the top of the greek mythos hierarchy, I wonder how the groups will be named? They've all shared that commonality thus far:
At first I was a beautiful mortal who became servant to the gods, then a giant cyclops who smithed and masoned for the gods, followed by a giant being known as the "vilest of beings" and doomed to eternal torture by the gods, then a Titan proper (oceanus), and finally a primordial goddess who stood at or near the creation of all things.

These groupings have all been moving up in "class" so to speak, but now that we're at the top, where next? The gods themselves were never used for grouping, and are intimately connected to all prior groups, but then if they used the gods now we'd be going backwards..... any guesses?

In case this thread seems a little disjointed, I took some posts from the Video #1 announcement thread and merged them into this thread. Thanks for understanding! Wink

what a horrible test. I'm with Sassy, i also hate math. I think i only got 1 question right and that was with a calculator. I only got a 20%, with no cheats because i had no clue what the cheat is.

Anyway, i'm in group Oranos. Sad

Also, it was interesting to see how angry Hans was. Do you think he's being punished by the higher-ups?

This one has been bothering me... with the previous cheats they should have been able to track who cheated, as we had to do something during the tests. With this one it just seems to be helping us get the answer?

I'm wondering if
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the cheat is in the sequence, but the sequence is the answer
is telling us something else? Trouble is the only thing I can think of is we answer with Conway Sequence rather than the number?? Confused

EDIT: Ok it's not that, it doesn't allow alphabetical entries

EDIT 2: Found it, kinda, on Q7 the numbers seem to be links, although nothing happens for me?

Yeah I noticed the links on Q7 as well, im pretty sure we have to do something here...sequences and all that, but I can't seem to work out what!!

EDIT: This is an explanation of what to do with question 7, I however can't really make heads or tales of it!!

think of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd numbers as buttons.
if you figure out the right answer, the number sequence, hit the buttons in that order before submitting.

For example, say for question 7 you get this series:
23 1213 11121113

23 means there's one 2 and one 3 (1213)
1213 means there's one 1 one 2 one 1 and one 3 (11121113)
11121113 means there's three 1s one 2 three 1s and one 3 (31123113)

The original options turn into buttons: 23 is button 1, 1213 is button 2, and 11121113 is button 3. You input the answer (31123113) by clicking on the buttons instead of entering the answer in the box.
