[FRINGE] Episode 3: The Ghost Network
Clues etc.

I haven't taken any screen caps yet, but I did catch a glimpse of the mysterious bald man on the commuter line at South Station.

The same mysterious bald man from the hospital...

Good luck and good night!

So in last week's ep, the clue was "voces video". I didn't see anything in this week's ep that related to that... did anyone else?

I didn't catch anything the first time around. The majority of the episode I spent looking for bumper stickers or flyers to no avail. It was a miracle that I even caught a glimpse of the bald man.

Does it seem to anyone else that Roy may have a larger role in all of this-- or could the Ghost Network compromise have halted all communications?

edit:

Fringe Television "easter eggs" has an image of this coming Sunday's clue. It appears to be the same "device" that was mentioned in the Episode 4 teaser.

Voces is Latin for Voice - Latin Voices, which Roy's mind translated into images that it was trying to make sense of - Voces Video.

walter's notes ep3
hidden words

Cool
In Walter's notes there is a picture of a someone who dies in their car. Behind the a car is stone building with the words"yugoslav skych". Went to sych.net typed in yugoslav and it leads to a weapons companies site(descriptive format) in eastern europe I presume.

Cool find!

In Russian "Yugoslavskych" is an adjective "yugoslavian", plural, second person (in context like: "about Yugoslavian writers" or "in Yugoslavian newspapers" etc.). I suppose, since it isn't written in Cyrillic, it isn't Russian, but another Slavic language, looks like Polish (with the suffix "skych").

The grammar case is really weird for a writing above the door, so I hope - I very hope - it is like you write it: "Yugoslav Skych", with space, which doesn't make any other sence, but a name "Yugoslav Skych"... I've never heard about forename "Yugoslav" and about a family name "Skych" though.

My only hope is, it isn't a "lost in translation" masterpiece like this:

walter's notes ep3
more info

Cool
I also saw that "skych" could be short "skycha" which could be a first or last name in eastern european countries. If a first name it's usually female. Could be a translation goof as far as phrase placement as you said kosmopol.

In the eye of the beholder

Also, regarding Walter's notes, can anyone make anything of the seeming reflection in the eye of the duck/rabbit?

the voces video website has changed.. now says 'quod incepimus coficiemus' meaning 'and now we shall finish what we have begun'. also it says 'madam i'm madman,' which freaks me out for obvious reasons.
