[EMAIL] 9/18 - "no more tests" Over there, at lostpedia forums people discovered a new Dharma email that should come today to us:
http://www.dharmawantsyou.com/site/emails/0918.php
The text:
Quote:
Namaste.
I am pleased to announce the release of the fifth assessment in the Dharma Initiative's Volunteer Recruitment Program is now available at www.dharmawantsyou.com.
The latest test in the program is a Numeric Projection Evaluation. It will assess a recruit's ability to recognize a variety of patterns in numeric series.
In response to the impressive progress of a number of recruits I have devised a number of particularly challenging questions in this latest evaluation.
IMPORTANT: CLOSING DATE OF RECRUITMENT PROGRAM
Please be aware that the Volunteer Recruitment Program will officially close at 12:00PM PDT on October 7, 2008.
All testing procedures, including Recruit Created Assessments, will be inaccessible after this date.
All recruits are advised to complete their assessments by this time.
Following the completion of the program, the Recruit Evaluation Panel will collect all assessment data for processing and analysis in order to determine final volunteer roles and group allocations within the Dharma Initiative's latest research project. This information will be collated in a personalized Volunteer Assessment Dossier for each recruit.
Having supervised the recruitment program thus far, I am extremely optimistic that the ranks of the Dharma Initiative will soon be greatly enhanced by the new recruits.
Namaste.
Hans Van Eeghen
Head of Recruiting
The Dharma Initiative
The interesting thing is as always the source, because there is following message:
Code:
13237438573 - say Hi from BS
And theotherbilly from that forum found out, it's a voicemail of Hans Van Eeghen. Here comes his transcript:
Quote:
Namaste,
You have reached the voicemail of Hans Van Eeghen the Dharma Initiatives head of recruiting.
Unfortunately I am unable to take your call right now, but I do hope you leave a message so that I may address your inquiry at a later time.
Thank you and Namaste. *BEEP*
I wonder, if it's always a voicemail? And what will happen if you let there your number... (I cannot do it, I'm from outside of US)
P.S. Ah, and I'll do self-TROUT (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=566732#566732 )

Tee hee. Left a message with my number ("trying to find out the status of my recruitment." who knows?) and a "hi from Black Swan..."
No more tests! More of this! Yay!

I *just* received the latest email. Obviously I called the number...I am an hour or so outside LA. The phone number is a land line based from roughly 944 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles--corner of Figueroa. It's a hotel and office structure. Interestingly, not an obvious Disney office to my knowledge.
I am curious as to what KIND of message you all left for Hans--how did you approach the call?
I personally went the tattletale route. I gave him my recruit number, telephone number, and a description of the morse code and source code number.
We could have some great fun with this.....heh!

I said that I had made it on the leader board and now needed to know what to do next. Then left my phone number. I tried the look up of the number but got no where except for finding out it was in LA

EDIT: haha. I called and said "The Black Swan Says Hi". Why is the number so long?

So enjoying all the VM msgs above. And, Sass, your Han's lil lap dog role is inspired.

Hmm, it says to me "available" (=not in use), so I suppose, this phone is just a Skype number, not registered in the usually phone systems.

that's a neat site except they want you to pay for any info they give you and I'm not that interested in the exact location since I live on the other side of the states. Oh well.

Just because they are using a LA-based number doesn't mean that there will be an address attached. For ARGNet's voicemail (via Grand central), I use an Illinois-based number, but am located in Manitoba.

I left my number and more or less said that I recieved his number from an associate of mine, and that I'm looking forward to working with the Dharma Initiative. I like this kind of thing.
