[360/PC/PS3] Tom Clancy's EndWar

Tom Clancy's EndWar is a Real-Time Strategy game coming to the Xbox 360 and just about every other gaming system out there, other than the Wii. It's looking like a very good game so far if you're into RTS games. The main selling point to the game is that you can control EVERYTHING by voice and voice alone. Now, you may be thinking that this is just a novelty to help sell the game but it actually works extremely well. From a friend of mine who was in the beta, it's a fun game, the system works well, and the voice gives you a unique feel. From what I can see based on the videos and previews, that I linked to at the beginning of this post, it's going to be a cool game. It has online multiplayer for between 2-4 players and it has a very cool persistent online war. If you have played Chrome Hounds you should be familiar with this concept. If you have not, basically what you do is choose from one of the three factions to align yourself, then go off to fighting the war! As the sides fight they generate points which, at the end of the day, are tallied up and the front line is moved according to which side is doing the best until there is a winner. So, based on everything it seems like it will be worth a buy. If you want more convincing go ahead and check out the links or, if you can wait, you can play the demo when it becomes available.

Well the wait is over for the EndWar Demo! It is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace as a 1.64 GB download. If you want to get a taste of what the game has to offer, hop on and take a look for yourself! I'll let everyone know what I think about it when I actually play it, I'm downloading it as I type this.

Ok, the EndWar demo is really fun. However, I am now a little horse. The learning curve is a little high but once you learn what is what it starts to become fun. I am still learning and have only fought against the AI at this point but am enjoying every minute of it. The voice recognition is relatively accurate. I'd have to say somewhere in the 80-90% accuracy range. Just, this is more of an action game than a strategy game. There is no micro management with respect to building structures or to much in terms of economy. You get money over time and by capturing command structures on the field. Overall, this is a very fun demo and I'm expecting the full game to rock my socks. I have it reserved and will be playing it on or around the day of release.
