One of those x's is right on top of Galt. Do you think the other x's are the other papers? It would be pretty amazing if the PM was able to hide things scattered across America like that

Not sure how relevant it is, but here's the source of the lion's head door knocker. Here's another pic of it, although it only says it's in Bruges (Belgium) but not which building. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27784002@N07/2795375803/

Could be very relevant. Good find!

I have asked the guy, who has taken the pic, where it is located

Quote:

Hey Lairo,

This was a little while ago, but I'm pretty sure it was
taken on

Sint-Jakobsstraat in Bruges. Heading towards the Markt on
the right hand side of the road. There are plenty of these
kind of things around though

maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=sint-jakobsstraat,+bruges&sll=51.210184,3.221129&sspn=0.002211,0.006909&ie=UTF8&ll=51.21304,3.221312&spn=0.008845,0.027637&z=15&g=sint-jakobsstraat,+bruges&iwloc=addr

Cheers
Leon

Thanks Brave777 and thanks for writing to the photographer Lairosiel. I ran out of steam last night but had intended to follow up with him today. I'm still looking for the precise location on Sint-Jakobsstraat and hope one of us can find it.

ETA: Found the head-on view and hope the photographer can identify the building:

While looking for that image, a couple of pics of winged dragons popped up. Remembering that the maritime historian BadSmeagol contacted mentioned that the first leathery page image looked like a dragon to him, I took a look at some info on them and think a winged dragon is a good possibility (note the sentence below about control of the waters). From http://www.crystalinks.com/dragons.html
Quote:
By the time of the early Egyptian period a considerable dragon- and serpent-worshipping cult had developed. This cult gradually spread to Babylon, India, the Orient, the Pacific Islands, and finally the North American continent, as more and more cultures began to recognize and appreciate the special powers and intelligence of dragons. The cult reached its peak during the days of the Roman Empire and disappeared with the advent of Christianity.

The dragon's form arose from his particular power of control over the waters of the earth and gave rise to many of the attributes singled out by different peoples as the whole myth developed.

They were believed to live at the bottom of the sea, where they guarded vast treasure hoards, very frequently of pearls.

Rain clouds and thunder and lightning were believed to be the dragon's breath, hence the fire-breathing monster.

The significance of the dragon was its control over the destiny of mankind.

Grr, I think we need another video. I'm going to guess that we'll get one this weekend. They've been posed on 9/20, 9/30, 10/14 and 10/29. A Saturday, Tues, Tues and Wed. Last video was 2 weeks ago, BUT last time songwraith logged in was 1 week ago....

Whatever any of that means, lol.

Thanks BadSmeagol. I was close to giving up but thought something so distinctive and elegant could be found if we persisted. Must admit that I was close to giving up when I came upon it. Just got a reply from the photographer of the original image:
Quote:
Hi, unfortunately I don't know what building that was on, it was definitely in Bruges, though. There were many interesting doors I found there.

Cheers,
Adam

I'm very surprised that both photographers confirm its location in Bruges, Belgium, but neither one can identify the building. As far as the doll and house/building images go, I've come up empty.

Hi all, Just jumping in here from a lurk. Check this link out, hope it helps:

2nd paragraph: "This knocker image comes from a music conservatory a couple doors down from my hotel, Hotel Navarra on Jakobsstraat."

Thanks so much for the location information Psysop -- chuckled at "Nice Knockers." Please join in! Here's some information about the Muziek Conservatorium: http://snipurl.com/5hb6b Maybe songwraith has an association with this place?

ETA: Having hit a dead end on the house/building image, I decided to look at the other details again. The video title took me back to the movie The Crow, which led me to this poster showing a stylized crow much like our leathery page image. It seems likely to me now that a crow is what was intended. Thoughts?

No, last time it died because the PM put it on hold for whatever reason he had. Some circumstances beyond their control or something.

This game is supposed to last a year. We just finished a chapter. I doubt anyone could keep a game going with something going on constantly for a year. Be patient.

new video

well...

Title: Bump in the night
Description: isynsihltogsor

at the end of the video, what sounds like an engine of some kind revving up gets louder until the video cuts out. Don't know the music, don't know the picture.
