I know, that's what I was thinking. What happened to superman? or the flaming homeless guy? or "crev-ASSE...CREV-asse"? or "another thing...also terrible"? or any of a couple hundred others?
We were gypped in that category, I do believe.

I agree. I guess if viewers can't see you, it doesn't count. Rolling Eyes I would have voted for the "flaming homeless guy" line myself...

same here (to both of the posts above).
though, I'm actually kinda proud that I didn't know the comics too well (ok, that I didn't know them at all), 'cause it means I'm not quite the nerd everybody thinks I am afterall.

Laughing Well, that makes 3 of us! I didn't vote on the comics; I wouldn't even know where to begin! The last time I read a comic was, well... Cloverfield! Rolling Eyes Hey, now that I think about it, we got dissed in that category too...

If the voting page ever contained that description, it was corrected by the time I went there and voted (a couple of days ago or so). I more greatly suspect that to have been an error on uniquelywired's part, having made the assumption many moviegoers not thoroughly aware of the viral campaign did that the Woolworth building was actually the ESB.

No, that was actually on the voting site. It was there, at least, the day of the OP.

Nope, not my personal mistake (or assumption Wink )! I took it as it was on the page; it looks like they corrected it since voting opened. However, it does make me wonder if the people at Spike TV compiling the entries actually saw the movie... Confused

Lol, were they talking about the Woolworth Building that had crumbled to the ground, sending every pedestrian on the block running for cover as torrents of smoke and debris flooded the streets?

I thought the scene, near the end, where they showed the monster from a high angle stumbling through the streets as the Blackhawk carpet-bombed it, should have been nominated instead. Double Negative rendered that scene in complete CG, the city was a reference and it obviously showed much more work input choreographed for such an awesome movie.

That, in my opinion, was a more impressive "HOLY S@#$" moment.
