Pulse?
Is the ARG dead?

We are now past another Tuesday and another Friday with no change. Does anybody have any ideas on whether this is continuing?

As much as I hate to say it, I feel like the ARG is over. I am still holding out hope that maybe something new will surface, but I think I'll be waiting for a new ARG to start.

I'm starting to lose hope.

Though a couple things still don't make sense to me:
Why end the ARG with a full two months before the product its "promoting" comes out?
Why hand out stuff at PAX at the end of the game directing people to America First America Only?

SPEC: Perhaps we were supposed to be rewarded with invitations to the beta, but since they recently announced they were delaying the beta (http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/09/03/resistance-2-public-beta-slightly-delayed/) maybe they aren't ready to send out invites yet.

I really would love me some Beta. I heard the private beta now is really fun. I'll have to pre order R2 soon just in case.

i don't think that they "suddenly" realised they couldn't do the Beta release for us, if the press got a hold of it, then Insomniac knew at least a month ago.

And despite the fact that by all accounts the ARG is dead, there's no way the letter posted at the front page of Abraham and the card at PAX were part of a Beta-release hunt that couldn't be recalled in time.

yes/no/maybe?

I don't think they wouls just leave that postcard at PAX. I think there's still something that's going to happen. In the meantime though, I'll play the original Resistance Very Happy

(and super early beta would still be awesome lol)

P.S. I want my War Job!

Well, let's look at this rationally; where did the resistance and the participants of Project Abraham relocate to? That may be the next step. We probably have to find the next place, but we need to have access to all data involved: maybe a piece or two is missing...

okay, realistically, I'm thinking we're just moving forward in in-game time.

Take for example the fact that our final document is dated well after the document we had previous to it.

So my theory is that right now we're moving ahead in time to meet up a little bit closer to Resistance 2 time.

[if that makes no sense I'll expound later when I'm not in the middle of a class]

IMO if there is more to be found, it will more than likely involve AFAO. The PAX postcards led us there and that note on the website screams kl00 to me. Especially the line "We are bugging out and going further underground."

Remember that www.americafirstamericaonly.com was originally found by someone trying random URLs. This I have tried, but at this I have failed. Confused

Ok, I've been told that "there may be more to come" when it comes to this ARG. Don't ask me where I got my info, but suffice to say that there is something we can all look forward to and it will be further on in the timeline like most people have guessed....
