Does anyone's username or avatar have to do with a horse? Or anything else that can trot?
I do have a donkey in mine, but I've sent no emails as of late and my avatar here should in theory be OOG.

Since drizjr mentioned that a trot might mean a hag or old woman I've enjoyed visualizing that. However....
it's possible that if trot refers to an animal with hooves, we might imagine what echo called The Beast . imo MrToasty's lil donkey doesn't fill the bill.

Other possible meanings of trot, thanks to my fiance and his family who are geniuses of words:
-trot - gait of a horse (we know that, but is it significant that it's a slow gait, as opposed to a canter or gallop?)
-to trot out - to show or display, derived from the horse meaning
-trotter - foot of a pig, also the name of a pig in the book Animal Farm, a satirical reference to Trotsky (we hear pig screams before, could this refer to something?)
-hot to trot - phrase meaning ready or eager to go
I can't think of anything specific any of those would refer to, but thought I'd offer the extra possible meanings in case they mean something to anyone else.
[edit] Another random thought-- Maybe trot refers to a rhythm and someone is communicating to the blackone in morse code or something? Not sure what that does for us, but it's a thought.

By the way, any thoughts on what the little grey orb thing is supposed to be? The source says to see what she left behind, so maybe it refers to that, since that's a new image?

SPEC The grey orb Jiangling, thats a good question. Couple things pop into mind. First, its a new star? Given that we have been looking into nebulas, I wonder if the escape triggered a new star to be born. Second, it marks that she is the first to escape and every other who escapes will leave us something on the equinox page. Puttting all their LEFTBEHIND pieces together will be the final puzzle???
Maybe the image will change over time?
Tres, I don't get your reference to the door knob?

The orb looks like it might be a copy of the doorknob from the door image. I do feel like it has some other significance here, though. The thought about various left behind things turning into a final puzzle is interesting. We'll see, I guess.

hawk, my reference to the door knob goes back to page 6 where waitress and What (who gave us the overlaid image) both suggested that it was superimposed on the equinox image. You may be on the right track; my thought was that it signified mona's escape to infinite freedom through the door opened by the librarian.
How leftbehind fits in I don't know. I thought there might be something hidden in the fulleyeleaving image but I can't find anything. Maybe it simply refers to the accompanying audio?
One more thing: it concerned me a little that LEFTBEHIND is in full caps since that's how the distortion communicated.

What Mona LEFTBEHIND..... http://www.voicesinthestatic.com/equinox/leftbehind.htm
A mangled old wheelchair... there are some symbols written on the side of it. It might be worth trying to figure out, or it might just be graffiti. (Image attached.)
On the title bar is "left behind"
In the source code is <walking>.
I have to say, my eyes welled up seeing these two new pages. I'm overjoyed that Mona is free.

Yay drizjr! I tried equinox/leftbehind, but didn't think to add .htm. I'm glad Mona is free.

Since I had mentioned it before and thought you guys might be interested, my collage dedicated to Mona and Byberry . Small block of words is this poem . Blue words throughout are Mona-related (more ashes on ashes, no rest until freedom, home sweet home, disrespect, buried under city of amnesia, dignity taken). Big red text is "Don't forget," though that should be visible. This is much much messier than my normal art, but it seemed appropriate.
I had hoped to show the finished product to Mona before she left completely, but I procrastinated too long. Anyway, I'm glad she's free.

Jiangling, that's for sharing your most creative art piece (love collages). I have to believe she knew how much we all wanted her to be free.

The wheelchair was one actually left behind in PSH. There's a picture of the very same chair on the forums of opacity; The Byberry Thread. It's about 2/3 of the way down this cached page. link
It's not the same picture, and the image was flipped, but it is the same chair. The graffiti looks the same towards the front part of the seat. So I don't think that there are any other clues in that.
