NYWC Nashville

I was looking at the timeline for when each of the virtues go up and the last is around the time of the last NYWC in Nashville. I'm going. Is anyone else?
And do you think anything interesting will happen there?!

Just for fun I emailed Pastor Bryson about the Faithless 14:

Quote:
Pastor Bryson,

I was wondering if you guys plan to release your new 14 songs on CD?
If so, how might I get a copy?

Thanks!

He actually wrote me back and it arrived tonight:

Quote:
Good Evening,

We have indeed considered issuing a CD of our songs. We hope to have time to do so in the near future. I believe Ms. Merks may be in talks to do so.

Please continue to look for each of our Virtual Virtues. God's word is a powerful one, and each of His virtues is a wonder to behold -- and one desperately needed in these times.

God Bless,
Pastor Bryson Grace

That's kind of funny because Will Dawes "leads the organization's efforts to provide positive messaging in entertainment" Maybe Bryson was aware of a meeting between Will and Savannah...

I didn't see any clues in Bryson's response but thought it wouldn't hurt to put up here just in case.

Also, about an hour ago on FB, "Savannah Merks is very, very busy"

Things maybe hitting the fan about now.

Check out the "WORRIES" section on the VoC navigation bar. (is this a new section or have I just overlooked it until now??)

Pastor Bryson suggests to "Please take the time to contemplate these concerns and how you might address them in your life."

Ok, super sleuths - is Erin Cole's address hidden in here?

Concerning the Daily Inspiration,

When all the counting on this night is complete, the world shall start its days anew.

The obvious answer is New Year's Eve, or December 31. But I got to thinking, what if the answer is more far reaching - like the Apocalypse?

A reading of Chapter 2 of JWTSC may bear this idea out.

Wait a sec!

Did anyone notice that it is impossible to have a passage that is Numbers 10:9-8. That doesn't work! And it doesn't even talk about that in the passage!

This is the passage:
1 The LORD said to Moses: 2 "Make two trumpets of hammered silver, and use them for calling the community together and for having the camps set out. 3 When both are sounded, the whole community is to assemble before you at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 4 If only one is sounded, the leaders—the heads of the clans of Israel—are to assemble before you. 5 When a trumpet blast is sounded, the tribes camping on the east are to set out. 6 At the sounding of a second blast, the camps on the south are to set out. The blast will be the signal for setting out. 7 To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets, but not with the signal for setting out.

8 "The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come. 9 When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies. 10 Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts—you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God."

Xander just posted at the garden wall:

I can't believe I got mixed up with them either. But, then again, lots of good folks have. Heh. I'm back at Aunt Lila's, sneaking some of her wine and just trying to figure out what in God's name I was DOING with the COV. Lost sheep = me. Thanks again everyone for your help. We need to get my friends out next.

Re: Numbers in DI

It was posted earlier that this could just be a reference to a New Year's Eve countdown. Sort of a joke...

Speaking of jokes, I'm finding it difficult to tell what is a clue, and what is just wry humor. Was the beginning of the Patience video just a joke (Grace follows the Bible script and his colt gets wrangled) or is it supposed to mean something? (I'm still bucking (NPI) for meaning in "chalice" and now "colt". Smile )

And to point out the fairly obvious, the "Eve" in New Year's Eve has other meanings. Alternatively, the answer could just be "31st". That would make a good component to our sought-after address. There is, not surprisingly, a 31st Ave in Spokane Valley, WA.

Friday's Insipiration:

Cheer on noble values.
Eschew new inconstancies.
Embrace new commitments.
Excoriate specious testimonies.
Originate religious expressions.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take the first letter of each word: CONVENIENCE STORE

So, do we have to go to an Oregon 7-Eleven on New Year's Eve? Smile

New inspiration's up, and it's the simplest one yet:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take the initials to get CONVENIENCE STORE.

Given that answer, I have an idea of how this week's inspirations are going to work:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OREGON = 54-40
NEW YEAR'S EVE = 12-31
CONVENIENCE STORE = 7-11

We'll probably use those numbers to pick out words and/or letters from the Weekly Inspiration to get the dirt on another one of the About Us people (I'm guessing Alejandra Gonzales, the administrator of Camp Francis).

Well, as long as I'm still awake. Daily Inspiration for Friday, October 17 yields:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Convenience store

Edit: Ack. Clearly I have to be faster.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Convenience store!

sorry, just had to... ; )

I like the number theme. What's the 54-40 connection with Oregon?

Look for AFFIRMATIVE or LOCATION to appear in an upcoming Inspiration.

I on the other hand won't bother to add the spoiler or answer to this well-solved inspiration.

54o40' is the degree of latitude that marked the northern boundary of the oregon territory and was part of the "famous" slogan "54 40 or fight".

@tin: I'd guess SPLIT too, but one number's taken already and the other would disqualify either of yours.

Something in the works--Savannah's latest FB update (approx. 4hrs ago)

Savannah Merks is going to a meeting -- Yes, at this time of night.

As Domino stated above--hint or humor?--Xander posted again on FoTGW:

Right you are! I'm back now. So, aunt Lila won't have to do her own text translations no more, no more. But I do have to help her with the moss garden. I promised. It's the least I could do. Later.
