But Gareth means gentle and is a character is Knights of the Round Table.

So he is like a soda, Mello Yello Wink Anyway, I am still waiting to hear back from Mr. Gerard or Tabitha via email in Erin's gmail acct. I am guessing it won't happen on Sunday though.

Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop on these emails.

I'm thinking that we are going to have to start looking for ways to connect some of these clues back to the book, Jesus Wants To Save Christians...

Anyone else have the book?

I'm new to this whole ARG world so I don't know if this is helpful or not... I noticed in Tabitha's (Cole) letter she mentioned "Ste. Jeanne Convent" I'm from the area-- no St. Jeanne. No convents near Liberty Lake... obvious repetition of "vent" but why st. jeanne?

Today's DI:
Quote:
The faithless fish fears catching
the hook in its jaws. The faithful
tiger always looks forward to
the duel.

I may have the initial idea, but can't get two numbers out of it:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Three words, which all have four letters, are the names of movies directed by Steven Spielberg:
- Hook 1991
- Jaws 1975
- Duel 1971

But what about "fish"? What about the tiger? How does Steven Spielberg or his movies suggest two numbers in an obvious way?

Big Fish (2003) was initially planned to be directed by Steven Spielberg.
One of the actresses from Memoirs of a Geisha (produced by Spielberg's company - 2005) was in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
Maybe Steven Spielberg's age or birthday are the numbers?

Also, maybe the numbers we have so far are... ASCII codes, or correspond to letters in the alphabet?

EDIT: Maybe it's movies Amblin Entertainment made? Nope.

Another possible answer I'm not crazy about:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
19-41 (For the movie "1941")

Meh.

For today's DI, going with the above thoughts, which seem to be on the right track... (don't know if we still need spoilers but...)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Steven Spielburg's birthday is December 18, 1946. So we could possibly have 12-18 or 19-46.

Interesting line in that blog entry:

Quote:
Players will even get a chance to do actual good in the real world over the course of the experience.

Eric, I have read the same thing somewhere else!
I wonder what kinds of things we will do.
It will be an interesting journey!

I must be too attuned to british cryptic crossword clues. I read it as
"The faithless fish" = fish - F = ISH
"the hook in its jaws" = the letter J
"The faithful tiger always looks forward" = REGIT ?
"to the duel." -- i got nuthin'.

I trust the rest of you to continue on with your successful ways. And there should be no need to put spoiler tags around simple facts or intermediate theories, only a positive final answer.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Always was also directed by Spielberg.

I don't think we're on the right track with the DI

I feel sort of silly bringing this up, as I don't have any better direction to point us in, but I think we're going in the wrong direction on this. The mechanism seems VERY similar to yesterday's DI, only yesterday's was less ambiguous. It referenced all three members of the set, and one is a two-word phrase. Today we're finding that three or four of the individual words happen to be members of a much larger set. It just doesn't seem as elegant as the other solutions we've found.

Backtracking a bit

Xander is free!! Good work everybody.

I know I'm going back a little ways, please forgive me, I'm new to this. How exactly was Xander freed? Was it because the songs were copywritten, so CoV decided to let him go? They just didn't need him anymore? Just wondering...
