looking into Xander's band - Bridegroom of Blood...
Lila mentions a bandmate named "Steve", but there isn't a Steve listed on myspace, only a "Steph". All the band's events are cancelled, and one blog entry by "XG" (Xander!) apologizes for essentially shutting down the band. So it's definitely the right place. The question still is... where's Xander?

eta1: re-thinking the CoV events list - if this is a larger Christian ARG/viral, it's likely that CoV will in fact show up at these events as mock advertising (very similar to satirical skits and videos shown at events like Acquire the Fire). In which case, if the Passion event is today, there might be an influx of participants later on as people decide to go visit CoV's website.

Mardeaux that's very interesting. The camp description on the CoV site already gave me the creeps but the more we learn about it, the spookier it gets. I'm glad my parents never thought of sending me to any summer camps.

I just ran through the phone number and recorded the messages... however, 705 is playing the same message as 702.

Can someone explain this to me: How is it possible that Xander (and the people on the other recordings) know about the message board and how to get there, when Lila set it up especially for the purpose of finding him because he disappeared and she hasn't hear of him?

not a problem... it's just audio ripped via skype, so it's not a lot of work to do

good points re:xander. It wouldn't be an issue if Lila didn't think one of the voices might be him... she didn't say any were though, so technically none may be. But then, wouldn't she know the people who did the hack and recordings if they're pointing people t the site?

I'm seeing Fruitofthegarden as more of a 'resistance' group, opposed to CoV and working together to try to bring it down. But that only works, as you said, if Xander (who appears to be in the central reason for its existence) knows about it and is pointing people there.

UNLESS, those people are still at CoV, andhacked into their sytem in-house, trying to get people to fruitofthegarden, which they may know about but can't get access to - basically the hacked messages could be another cry for help. In which case, Xander may knowabout Fruitofthegarden, but may still be missing / held captive at CoV...

Hey guys, jsut got caught up on this, and it seems somewhat interesting.

A quick questiong/suggestion: has anyone tried any other significant plant names on the Fruitofthegarden site? There might be more information there if they are some sort of resistance group ala thebruce's suggestion.
