 		Oh! Nice find! I was wondering whether we were supposed to parse that one message as "Save Carmen R. from Carlos Firenze" or "Save Carmen R. From, Carlos Firenze"; I'd say this makes it pretty clear.

Another enter-something-get-something: Try entering "living water" (the gift from the John passage) into the last blank of the pledge card and hitting "Print". You get a modified pledge card and a message from someone in the Seven asking us to donate socks to an relief organization in Atlanta. This must be the opportunity (or one of the opportunities?) to do real good in the world, as mentioned earlier.

Also, kudos to ToddE and DavidF/thebruce for the solves on the election and pledge card puzzles! (And major kudos to whatever puzzle constructor managed to get a sensible message using every state and DC exactly once! Very Happy )

Wow. I continue to be impressed with the solvers here. Y'all are amazing!

I wanted to share a couple of things. Here is my reply from CoV concerning my request to meet with one of the Passionix developers...

I provided my cell phone number to them in a follow up email but haven't received a call back. That was on Oct. 23rd.

That is a very important question and one that needs to be looked at closely. Here's some very useful information:

Do not swallow Passionix if taking any cannabinoids and all other internal stimulant drugs such as dextroamphetamine, Spanish fly, caffeine, epinephrine, and ritalin.

Spanish Fly (specifically the cantharides element) - cas# 56-25-7
Caffeine - cas# 58-08-2 (or do you refer to 5743-12-4?)
Epinephrine - cas# 51-43-4
Ritalin - cas# 298-59-9

I'm sorry for the follow up question, but when it means the difference between being a grandfather at 35 or just the proud father of a high school graduate, I thought it was worth taking the risk in emailing you again!

The last bit was just emailed by me. I'm not at all confident I'll get a response concerning the exact CAS numbers, but a guy can hope!

 		Matthew 23:16-22 (the verse from the video) also uses the word "gift". I haven't figured anything out with the verses, though. And I still don't know why there is a '1' before Matthew.

 		I have lots of questions
I'm fuzzy on what's going on this week. Does this sound accurate?:
  • From the hidden Internal memo from Savannah, we've learned that there was an incidence of domestic violence at a CoV facililty between two CoV employees, Carlos Firenze and wife Carmen. There's a Carmen listed as a Pledge Worker.
  • From the list of Pledge Workers, we've decoded:
    TO REDISCOVER CARLOS, LIVING AT LARGE WITH AN ASSUMED NAME, YOU MAY KNOW HIM AS SAL NEWMAN.
    I assume from "AT LARGE" that Carlos is on the run from the law. So he's hiding as "Salvatore Newman", which is also on the CoV Pledge Worker list.
  • From Pastor Grace's Election Day message we've decoded: SAVE CARMEN R FROM CARLOS FIRENZE. So Carmen is the member of the Seven that we're supposed to save this week.
  • From the dashes on the pledge card we got "PASSAGESGIFT". This may simply be prompting us to enter "living water" as a pledge gift.
  • Pledging a gift of "living water" gives us a website and address (apparently RL) for donating socks. It says "Thanks from The Seven", so is the Joshua that's listed one of The Seven?

Questions:
  • Is Carlos hiding from the police for a domestic disturbance charge, or something else?
  • Is Carlos living with Carmen and abusing her (so that we have to get Carlos arrested) or is he preparing to harrass her (so that we have to warn Carmen)?
    (From the Pledge Worker list, "Sal" is in charge of Knoxville, TN, but the Carmen that is listed is in charge of Vero Beach, FL.)
  • Are we sure that the Carmen on the Pledge Worker list is the Carmen we are to save? Is Rodgers her maiden name?
  • Is Carlos using an alias on his own, or has CoV perhaps given him an alias to help him hide from the law? If he's on his own, is the CoV aware that he is still under their employment?
  • If CoV is NOT aware that Sal=Carlos, then someone should leave a message with security at the 888 number to tip them off. (Has anyone done that?)

And about helping Kevin:
  • We've been helping members of the Seven "escape" from CoV. But I take it that Kevin is not actually in their clutches, and our mission is only to provide his father with the Passionix antidote. Is that right?
  • Even if we do find an antidote, do we have any way to contact Kevin's father to communicate it to him?

Other random notes:
  • Can someone cofirm that there really was a "1" in front of "Matthew" in the Kindness video yesterday? I don't see it now, so maybe it was just a mistake that has now been fixed?
  • There's a new "GET INVOLVED" link on the site. Not sure if it's supposed to have clues or is just info on getting involved. The only thing that jumps out at me is the Bible quote.
  • The phone number at the top of the page is rotating through the rainbow colors. The colors appear in rainbow order, though in reverse. Has it always been like this?

 		heh, you've pretty much put into words and solidified what's been floating around randomly in my head Smile
that's about as far as I think we've got... so what leads do we have to go from there?

I'd say
* leave that message with security
* there's a Sal Newman on facebook with no friends, and I friended yesterday but there's been no response
* mail some socks to the address on the hidden pledge card

somehow we need a link back to a member of the CoV - likely Leon Lutz.

There definitely was a 1 before Matthew in the the Vid that's been corrected now. Maybe just a mistake? Don't quite buy it but it doesn't lead us anywhere, so-

I called yesterday and left a message with security but haven't heard anything. I think the more people to call and leave a message the better.

Yeah, we need to find a way to contact Kevin's dad.

 		So far the DIs this week have involved a charade, multiple definitions, and an anagram.

Things to watch out for in the upcoming days: container, hidden word, reversal, homonym, and deletion. I doubt the WI will include a grid, of course, but it certainly seems like we're going through 6 of the 8 cryptic cluing types this week.

I'm still bothered that we don't have a video message from Kevin. We haven't satisfied the "save" agreements for him, I suspect. We kind of fell down on the job there. I still have no idea how to use those CAS RN numbers. and I'm surprised that we haven't seen any additional clues to help us from the PMs.
