That actually sounds like a pretty good theory, The Sparr0w. We have "aurora", which could be a password; all we'd need is his e-mail address.

No, Savannah, it's the CoV that needs to be stopped.

The first thing I thought of when looking at Gareth's new image was anniversary gifts. I'm not sure it's going to go anywhere, but just in case:

Tin = 10th anniv.
Paper = 1st anniv.
Flowers = 4th anniv.
Wood = 5th anniv.

Gareth FB pic

That's it Mardeaux!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
10=J, 1=A, 4=D, 5=E

Now does that relate to anniversaries, or the lord shackle stones?

Edit: There's no Jade in the Foundation stones.

Wikipedia says jade is 35th in the list of modern anniversary gifts, but we're using the traditional list. Wikipedia has coral and jade for 35th in the Traditional list, and other sources list only coral, so that makes me think that's wrong too.

I found exactly one Aurora Jade on FaceBook, who has no friends. I sent her a friend request just in case.

New DI:

Quote:
After six days of rest, you will
be three paces back from where
you were.

The bible verse is:
Quote:
I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze.

First think I notice is the Iron, but I dunno how to prove it. It most certainly fits in with the elements theme! The only thing I can think of is... well, six days of rest... 'where you were' might be on the ground, and three words back from that is 'iron', but I'm just grabbing at straws Very Happy

EDIT:
If Iron is our third element, we have:
Ti + Ne + Fe
47.88 + 20.18 + 55.847
22 + 10 + 26

22=V, 10=J, 26=Z
V + J + Z

Inverse of atomic numbers
17=Q, 5=E, 1=A
Q + E + A

...nothing as yet, I guess we'll just have to wait till next Wednesdeee! I do hope carbon shows up, though...

It could also be vanadium (V, 23, 50.942), which is three "paces" to the left of iron on the periodic table. That doesn't take into account the "six days of rest," though.

It could also be Ruthenium. On the periodic table, it is below Iron and above Osmium. Was the biblical Ruth associated with stubborn pride?

if iron is above you like the sky, you're starting on Ru, then 3 paces back from where you were would be Nb niobium. Or, if you're on Ru now, then you were 3 paces ahead on Ag silver. I like the latter better.

There is one day of rest per week so six days of rest would be 42 days total. 42 corresponds to Molybdenum which is also three spots away (two left, one down) from Iron.

So I sent Gareth a message, since today is the one year anniversary of his wife's death. I'm sure it won't get us anywhere, but what the hey.

Here's what I sent:

Quote:
I know you don't know us, but my friends and I wish to send prayers and a heartfelt message of sympathy for the loss of your wife one year ago today. As the poet Aurora Jade Pichette said, "Not so easily healed is my heart." Will be thinking of you. God Bless.

(AJP is a real person, I just googed it so i could figure out a way to sneak in those two words. I don't necessarily endorse her poetry Smile

I wonder, maybe Aurora Jade is the name of one of the Seven? It's a long shot, but...

EDIT: Anyone notice the 1 hour update difference between the old DI's and the new ones?

FractalP: I'm not seeing any time difference; do you live somewhere that doesn't observe Daylight Savings Time?

Today's DI:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ODIUM + a letter at the beginning ("tell them where to start") = SODIUM

Did you do a hard refresh at the usual time? Are you on an ISP that uses a cache/accelerator? Maybe they're not synched with the new time. I was noticing that the page has a "keep alive" date and timestamp*:
meta http-equiv="Expires" content="Tue, 21 Oct 2008 21:29:02 GMT"
but just before posting, I realized that the date is not current. whoops.

*For some browsers, this is what tells your system to refresh content instead of using the cache. (With other browsers, I've heard people still have to do a hard refresh manually to override the cached content.)
