hmm... this saturday. It may be a good idea to visit the walk... or at least the shrine.

Looking on the whois information on the site... looks like this site is not IG so it is a real church... bummer. Though we had a lead.

But it still wouldnt hurt to check out the shrine I bet.

briareosH, did you see anything different at the shrine? or did you not check it out?

Funny how anagrams are like that sometimes...

Her name is a convenient homonym, really. Say "Eva Lucien" out loud a few times to yourself.

Hey Jen! I'm working on Thursday, but depending on where you go looking around, I might be able to meet up with you on my lunch break.

Here's my photos from what I'm thinking of as "episode 1," everything leading up getting through the login page on JI's website. There are spoilers if you haven't gone through the "induction," but really I think CaptKing's taken this thread through the main points.

I also went on walkabout yesterday on my lunch break, and found the EPWA markings briareosH posted (and like I suspected back on IRC Saturday night, that wasn't there when I went there a few weeks ago -- I was early!) and I've figured out part of what they mean, but I'm not sure what to do with what I found. I'll post that soon after I do some googling to see if it's relevant -- or rather, what part of it is relevant:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

So far so good

(@ 605 Kearny, hey!)

So we know that St. Jude/Thaddeus/Jude Thaddeus is important to Nonchalance somehow... he's mentioned on nonchalance.com and also the EPWA warned me via email not to put my memories in the hands of the Jejune Institute, sharing this url with me: http://www.americamagazine.org/content/article.cfm?article_id=3951

But do we know it's worth it to go visit the Pilgrimage on Saturday? CaptKing's right, it's not in-narrative, so we'd be tourists. I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. Then again, we've kind of been tourists this whole time...

I'll try checking in with the EPWA, see if they have any feelings about it.

New information on the Login page of the JI homepage.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Go Light a candle. Say a little prayer for a truly lost cause & a desperate cause. The site of our Shrine is under siege by the Unmasons. Look at the end of the Rainbow. (Last seen on the corner of Wilmont) A miracle may be unearthed."

Looks like we have to meet at the "shrine"

There was a planned meet-up tomorrow. I'd be happy to go around 2:00 or 3:00 if work permits.

You can call me at (949)291-9908 if you wish to go as well. (I know it's bad to have your on the net, but I dont really care lol) [/spoiler]

This is a screen cap of the Login page. There is one player that can't get the flash to load on his system so he asked me to post it here. The only difference between this and the real login screen is that the pic of St. Thadeus jiggles around on the real login screen.

So, it was an interesting and confusing day in the city!

I met up with Jenpop and a few of her other friends today. We decided to head over to the St. Thaddeus church and check it out.

(Check out the photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31067456@N07/ )

So, after searching in and around the church... we found out the next clue was located on the side of the church. After following the Symbols of Nonchalance around, they led us to a small dirt area next to the church.

And what did we find? An unmason's brick in the ground.

"Elsewhere 16-62"

Thats it. Nothing more. We picked it up, dug under it, looked around for hours, but found nothing.

Some guys who worked across the street said they saw people looking around the same area last night, so maybe the clue was already taken from that spot? It's hard to believe though...

During our search Octavio gave me a call (it was a recording). He was pretty pissed that I followed the induction and now how I'm working with "Them" (EPWA I'm guessing). And how I am now "on my own." Well, thanks for nothing Octavio you bastard you havent helped me so far Wink

Oh, and Jen also contacted the PM... he said how "Our faith wasnt deep enough" and "we may be too late.." Now, I'm not sure if this guy is part of the game or not (She said that it was the PM's private number or something... dunno what's with that)

So, either we were stumped and didnt look hard enough... or someone else took the clue that was left for us.

Not sure which it is... but we should find out soon

Brick at Church

My friend and I were the ones that found the brick last night. We had to climb through the sprinklers to find it and got sopping wet. Front said Elsewhere 16-62 and on the back of it SUNSET was written in black marker.

Anyways no idea what any of this means. Two things we have come up with.

1. Does the "Meanwhile" indicate that this is just an interlude and we are waiting for more clues?

2. 16-62 is making me crazy. I seriously am seeing coincidences, rainbows, saints, etc everywhere like some bad suspense movie. But my newest theory has brought me to Oakland and the corner of 16th and 62nd where the Church of St. Bernard is located (and of course is like 2 blocks from rainbow park). But really all other clues have been very direct so do I want to drive my ass out to Oakland for no reason?? Thoughts??

I/ we are at a loss.

Hey Liz, so you're the girls they were talking about. Some guys who worked at AT&T across the street mentioned you.

I guess SUNSET was washed off the brick due to the sprinklers...

So, SUNSET is the next clue... I'll see what I can find

Hmm ok.

I tried SUNSET at the Login page on JI.org with no avail, and nonchalance.com/sunset

Nothing.

I wonder where it can fit...?
