Hey Ninas! Glad to hear you are joining in on the fun! We'd be happy to help you out!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The brick you have found, with Elsewhere 16-62 written on it, is known as the "unmasons brick." According to Jejune lore, unmasons would plant bricks that contained bad omens or subversive messages in buildings they wished to destroy. What you need to do now is find "800 Gant" (it is a small Chinese shop), and find an envelope with the "unmason's brick" on it. It should be at the front counter. There you go! That is your next step

Now, on to new news!

[Content Omitted]

Also, I received the VOHF schematics from particle savant. On the back there are two square barcodes. When decoded one says "26" and the other "elsewherepublciworks.com" The schematic really is just rubbish. Most of the symbols I believe are false. I'll look into it more.

Here are some pics of the schematics.

Also, there are some new flyers you can download on EPWA.

One is written in Arabic:
http://elsewherepublicworks.com/warning-int2.pdf

The second in Chinese?
http://elsewherepublicworks.com/warning-int2.pdf

Could anyone get these translated? There might be some interesting info there.

I'm going to visit the libraries tomorrow, so I'll be posting some fliers around there.

Sure have, that was found shortly after we finished the induction process.

Interesting possible behind-the-scenes note however. If you search for JI, and other terms of nonchalance in google, you find an article by a columnist for SFgate, talking about him starting the induction process. Coincidentally, the game now has articles about Eva in SFgate. Either, one of the PM's writes for SFgate, or since one of the writers tried his hand at the game, they now have an insider connection to the website.

You know, that "26" barcode is really bugging me... typing it in to the URL, and finding it in the EPWA BBS system is yielding no results.

I'm going to play around at bit more and see what I can find. I might just have to run down to kinkos and get it scanned.

Also, I'm heading over to the library tomorrow, I'll post some flyers and see what I can find.

Take care everyone.

UGH! I'm having a hell of a time decoding the barcode from the scan. Not sure if they quality is too bad or what. If anyone else wants to take a stab at it with some photoshop or something, be my guest. I have too much stuff going on. I'm focusing on the top barcode right now, because I know the bottom one says "elsewherepublicworks.com"

http://img381.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dc2501921page1tz1.jpg

EDIT: Today, I decided NOT go to go the library, not until what I find out that bottom barcode says.

However, looking around the "about" section of EPWA BBS, I found out the binary says

"Killer Banshee Elliot K. Daughtry Code Koyote killerbanshee.com"

On killer banshee.com there is a artist named Elliot. I'm not sure if he is part of the game, or he is just the wrote the code for EPWA. I sent him an email, and I'll let you know what he says.

Decoded bottom barcode
It states &_invent top one elsewherepublicworks.com for the other one. Type that into the BBS, there you will find chatlogs from an online EPWA meeting. Thanks to Jason, we have decoded who each of the screen names belong to:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ladytorrytcb = Torry Hotprune, bearlu = Blair Lucien, jung1 = Dr. Jane Hewitt, dr.orbit = Gene Donale, oswinb = Rolland Oswin Books, lazyhorse = Erik Jamuel, cfourteen = ... Commander 14

Interesting stuff.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

It is the chatroom log of a few of the people who are part of EPWA. If you type in &_invent in the command line, you can read it too. I think this means I now have to head into the city, and check out a book at the library, I'll let you know.

Stopping by the Libraries today, I found nothing. Magill's cyclopedia (or anything by that author) could not be found, or more like I found a bunch of "Magill's encyclopedia" but nothing on "puck" or any notes in any of them. Also, they were all at the main library, not The Mission Branch. Not sure if I'm missing something... Confused

Watch your URLs I believe that strange story illuding to the JI was in the SF gate but the ones about Eva are on sfgate.us not com

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:www.sfgate.us+&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS304US305

A very well executed clone.

I received my EPWA "black box" today.

It contained:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
-Fence Signs
-Electrical box stickers
-security stickers
-Membership card
-Hobo Glyph (Urban Pheonix, nonchalance, whatever you want to call it) It states to only place it in an area of remarkable nonchalance.
-A letter that contains information on where to place the items, and how I am now an official "nonchalant"

I'm going to be visiting the JI with my girlfriend in a few weeks, while I'm there, I'm going to leave a few things.

If you want your OWN black box (or envelope), check out
www.elsewherepublicworks.com and type &_support and purchase one! If you are still interested in this game, I suggest you do!

Got to love those AH HA! moments. Searching online for the Magills Cyclopedia, it turns out I was at the right library at all. There is a "Magill's Cyclopedia of Literary Characters" available, with Puck as one of the characters in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Called the librarian, so she helped me out) So, I'm guessing there is a note left for Eva in there, or at least a note for us. BUT I have to finish a final tonight at 7:00, and they close at 6:00, and I have to leave for Southern California tomorrow! So, I wont be able to visit the library until the 29th, when I come back. So, if anyone can make it to that library and check out that cyclopedia, that would be great!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
EVA-
HOMEY... PLEASE JUST CALL AND LET ME KNOW YOU'RE OK. DR. HEWITT
SAYS THAT YOU ARE STILL GOING TO THE SESSIONS, SO I GUESS I CAN ASSUME YOU'RE STILL ALIVE. LISTEN, I'M SORRY ABOUT OUR FIGHT
LAST TIME. I'D LOVE TO JUST SPEND A DAY TOGETHER. MAYBE WE COULD GO LISTEN TO THE TIDAL MUSIC PLAY? REMEMBER THAT DAY WE ALL WERE FLYING KITES IN THE MARINA? AND WHEN PETER TOLD
US HIS PLANS I SAID HE WAS CRAZY? YOU SAID THAT I WAS JUST DEAF FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO HEAR THE MUSIC ALREADY, AND THAT PETER WAS SIMPLY PROVIDING A HEARING AID. YOU'RE A VERY CURIOUS GIRL, EVALYN.
GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE TO

Hmm, interesting note. Did not expect to find something so cryptic. Did you search through the book? Maybe there is more there?

Well, I just got owned by Commander 14

Quote:
Greetings Commander Fourteen,

I do hope you are enjoying the holiday season.

In the BBS transcripts, you mention a good way to sneak into 580 California Street unnoticed is by using the "service elevator." Searching around the premises, I have yet to find an easy way to use the service elevator without being noticed by security. Is there a way to get past them by mentioning "sapelle Mohogany", is that a business located in the building? Or should we just stick to using the public elevator?

I appreciate the clarification.

Thadeus Bless,
CaptKing

He then sent me this

Yeah... I dont think I scored any points there. I guess getting into the service elevator is not going to be easy/possible. In fact, based on my previous dealings with security, they are very hard to deal with.

Make sure you have the right login password:

If that does not work, try clearing your cache and cookies, that might help.

Sorry to do this - but after reading through all of the posts/pages here - I'm more confused than I was before I started reading it. I did take a look at the wiki someone created back in the first few pages, and tried to keep up with everything else - but I'm lost.

Can I ask for a brief update as to where you're at - and what needs to be done next?

I did go to the JeJune Institute website, login, watch the pages flash by until I got to all the cards floating around (saw CaptKing on there) - created my own - and then saw nothing else happen. Did I miss something there too?

Thanks much

EDIT: NM - clicking through the various cards, and searching the websites they send me to...

Hey Wulf! It sounds like you are on the right track. If you want to understand more about the JI, make sure you read those cards. To better understand the lore behind the JI, check out these links:

Time Camera
Eva Lucien
Delta Particles
Vital Orbit Human Forcefield
Divine Nonchalance

Also, make your own account so you can be contacted in the future.

Now that you have found the cards, make sure to check out

www.elsewherepublicworks.com and search through the BBS. Also, check out the &_invent screen, there is more background information about the JI and EPWA there.

happy to have you aboard.

So, not sure if this has been posted yet, so don't kill me if it has...

I was browsing through EPWA's site, and was reading through their "&_mission" portion. When you continue on to the 2nd page "&_more mission" - it essentially ends with asking a question "are you ready?".

So being the smart-ass I am, I answered "&_yes". Now to be honest, it didn't really give anything that I saw was helpful (never can tell), I just thought it was interesting, that there are probably still a bunch of "&_" commands out there we haven't figured out yet...

BTW - Captking - loved the de-motivator. It was added to my collection. Too bad it will only appeal to a small number of us.. lol

The Letter
(far beyond games and puppets)

Fellow Seekers of Juvenescence,

Two nights ago I dreamt of a -map-, two pages, written on graph paper. Last night I dreamt of a man throwing a bottle into the ocean. Today, following the clue in the Library Note, I have found a letter from Blair (Eva's Father), to Eva. It was written on graph paper, and enclosed in a corked bottle near the ocean.

There is talk of the history of The Algorithm.

There were many symbols at the site. I am now working to decode this letter. I believe there is something...complex about it. I am also performing the prerequisite [descriptor omitted] to insure compliance with [descriptor omitted].

More information will be forthcoming shortly, to those who share the spirit of [descriptor omitted].

Lux Madesco,

organelle
