STOP KILLING THE FUTURE!

NO MICROWAVE HARASSMENT!

HEY-HEY, HO-HO, FALSE NONCHALANCE HAS GOT TO GO! (if we're feeling extra cheesy)

if i think of any more i'll add to this post.

One of my favorites is something I learned at the St. Stupid's Day Parade one year: "NO MORE CHANTING! NO MORE CHANTING! NO MORE CHANTING!"

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/eve/1134162310.html showed up on Craigslist. Fantastic.

I want to do a short passion play (a passion skit?) on the crimes of Octavio. At the very least, I'd need one volunteer to be Octavio (we've got the mask, hey?). If I got a few people to be the Greek chorus (responsible for saying things like "boooooo" and "that guy's a dick"), that would be even better. If I got someone to dress like a robot to hold the show cards with sectional titles and who wouldn't go to the next one until somebody made a "boop!" filmstrip projector sound, that'd be even better. Any volunteers?

The Event on the 30th.

Hey...I'm a tad worried. Due to preexisting obligations I'm not going to be able to show up to the event, and I'm moderately scared that this is indeed going to be the one and only event of it's kind, and unlike all of the other portions of this narrative...I'll miss it. do you think it'll happen again?

considering this seems to be about experiencing SF and the people in it (including each other) i'm fairly certain that they'll have another large gathering activity. maybe not the same kind but i don't think this will be the only one.

Sorry you can't make it Mono. However, this even will be going on for a while, give any one of us a call when you are done with your obligations, because there should be some after-operation excitement going on.

Well everyone, today is the big day. At 6:02 PM a whole boat load of us will be heading to Union Square and "protesting" against the Jejune Institute. It is sure to be exciting! So, if you are in the area, come on out! Also, if you take part in the festivities, make sure to dress accordingly. (Go to &_action in the EPWA BBS for more info)

Ahhh ah ah ah.... bitter dregs

Well, I, too, am unable to attend (Monotony and I are attending the same event). Sadly, the event will run late enough that it is pretty impossible for us to join you, but our spirits are with you.

Eva bless, and I want to read long, detailed accounts with lots of pictures that will make me weep. I mean it!

Thank you to whoever attended the operation tonight! I have to say that this turnout was even more than any of us (producers included) previously thought!

A good 80-100 nonchalants attended this evening. Below are some group pictures (I'm sure some official documents will appear sometime this weekend), FLICKR (http://www.flickr.com/photos/31067456@N07/

We started out in Union square, the set up consisted of tinfoil hats and general conversation. After a while the official EPWA leaders showed up. Drybones lead the pack, explaining the events that would follow. After an introduction session, we were off!

We started down the marching path, taking "chalk stops" along the way. During these stops we would draw "hoboglyphs" (Nonchalant symbols, "bunny TV's" ect.) on the sidewalk.

After a while, we stopped in front of the Jejune Institute itself! During the stop we were ambushed by Jejune Ninjas! They were quickly thwarted off with a group "jazz hand" session. After a few minutes they quickly scurried away to their evil layer.

One of the most eventful things to happen at the JI was the appearance of OCTAVIO COLEMAN HIMSELF. Arriving in an all black limo, Octavio was quickly swarmed by the EPWA operatives, and in true coward fashion, he was wisked away by his driver without even a statement.

My friends, victory was ours this evening.

To celebrate our successful battle, we marched over to the Lipo-Lounge where we PARTY'D HARD. The entire downstairs was rented out, and we began to shake out nonchalant asses off.

During the festivities, I got the chance to converse with the producers of the entire experience. Though the fourth wall was completely torn down, it was great to get some insight to everything that has been happening for the past few months.

All of the "Elite five" were there. Me, Jay7au, Everfalling, Jenpop and Organelle got together and basked in the glory that is EPWA.

Overall, it was a fantastic evening, full of adventure, suspense and funny third thing.

To all who showed, thank you. It was awesome getting to put faces behind the screen names. And if you could not make it, THAT'S OK! Few secret sources alluded to a possible SECOND mission. This narrative will continue for some time. You see, we are at the end of Act II (Act I being the initation process, and the introduction to the JI. Act II consisted of the introduction of the EPWA/Radio nonchalance). There is quite possibly going to be a total of four acts. So, keep your eyes, ears and minds open. For this crazy ride is just beginning.

Have a good summer everyone. I'll be gone for the next few months, need to take care of some nonchalant business in Southern California. I'll be keeping tabs on the events happening in SF however.

Have a good one, and as always ENIR PACO.

today was crazy fun! awesome props to all who came out and showed those goons we ain't gonna take them or their Dudley do-wrongs anymore!

The event for me started at 5:30. i met up with 7au, Captking, and a fellow inductee i'd never seen before named Yoshi over on 3rd and market. from there we made our way up Geary, passing out a few fliers and answering questions from people we passed.

When we got to Union Square we saw that we weren't the first to get there and that there was a nice gathering already forming. As people trickled in i took the opportunity to spread the good word about nonchalance and the bad word about the jejune institute. i passed out a fair amount of fliers and informed people /not/ to go to the 580 building or /not/ to visit the website or call the phone number.

A little bit later the sounds of sirens came from the powell end of the square as a team of EPWA members, lead by Drybones himself, entered and started up the rally. octavio masks, duct tape, and tinfoil were on hand for those lacking the proper attire and a few lucky souls snagged some pretty sweet, and evidently last minute treats, orange EPWA armbands. Chalk was also passed around and we were encouraged to mark up our path with the hobo glyphs.

A communique from Commander 14 was played wherein he imparted some wisdom unto us. Specifically that the implementation of silent 'jazz-hands' were a major weapon against Octavio and his goons. It was stressed that a lone person using 'jazz-hands' would have no effect, nor would a mass of noisy jazz-hands, nor would 'spirit-fingers' regardless of numbers or decibel level.

We then took to the streets. our first chant was my favorite one, which went a little something like this:
"What do we want?"
"Nonchalance!"
"when do we want it?"
"Whenever it's convenient!"
our path was trailed by a variety of hobo glyphs and arrows pointing the way to any lost souls who didn't make it on time. At the corner of post and Kearney we received another Commander 14 communique which was basically a reading of the &_action speech you see on the EPWA website. From there we headed up Kearney and overtook the plaza across the street from the 580 California building.

We couldn't have been there for more than 5 minutes before the goons arrived. A black stretch limo pulled up and out of it came three black faceless and formless figures to disrupt our gathering. we quickly implemented Commander 14's new weapon and sent those goons tumbling and crawling back into the limo. our 'jazz-hands' were clearly too much for them. once the goons were back inside the passenger window of the limo rolled down to reveal none other than the jackanape himself, Octavio Coleman Esq.! As far as i could tell he didn't say anything but he gave us all a very stern look of disapproval and after some heavy chanting in his direction he promptly rolled up his window and drove away like the coward he is. a victory for the nonchalants!

To celebrate, we made our way up to grant to the Li-Po Lounge in china town where we celebrated our victory and comradeship with libatious drink and joyous dancing.

Until next time, Thaddeus be with you and Eva bless my brothers.
