whoa where'd you find that one?

haha, that's from my old twitter feed! I actually work at 580 on the third floor and couldn't make it due to my shift. I did run out afterwards and follow the trail of chalk to the meeting place!

I have some other pics taken from that height on my iPhone as well!

So I saw this and thought the Recondite family may enjoy.

http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Kymatica&hl=en&emb=0&aq=f#

It has nothing to do with everything so I was a fool for it's genius.

p.s. I was the robot guy April 30th.

WTF NICE (NICE).

I don't think I'm going to make it, but knowing this town, they're probably not going on right at 6. So we'll see. If you can go, YOU SHOULD GO. Also go check out the Warhol Live exhibit, today's the last day to do so. They're open tonight until 8:45pm.

So anyone know how many different nonchalant tooth donors there are? Obviously names can't be posted on the forum (cause where is the fun in that). Anyone tried bartering their tooth with the Jejune Institute for fun?

New Note from the Institute
Are they really as evil as we're led to believe?

Got this via e-mail. Most of you probably got it, too:

========================

To My Recondite Family,

It has been some time since my last correspondence. I am sure that many
things have changed both inside and outside ourselves since last we spoke.
The ebb and flow of the universe is in constant flux around us and within
us, and sometimes we simply must follow its lead. Occasionally, that
takes us apart from one another for some time. We shall always come
together again though, for the parting of a sea of breathing spirits can
never hold for long! And thus, we begin anew, once again, different and
the same.
______________________________________

{Astral plane travel and electrical interference}

Energy is the base operating commodity of the universe. It flows through
our bodies and into the bodies of both the animate and inanimate around
us. (taking into account fact that nothing in our reality is truly
inanimate) We cannot even BE without having a profound effect on
everything in the surrounding realm out our BEING.

Recently, our San Francisco research facility has been experiencing high
rates of electrical anomalies including, but not limited to, erroneous
data, electronic phase reversals, and outright system shutdowns. Luckily,
or induction center had not been reporting many actual sequence failures,
but our upper-floor research offices had at times been rendered
frustrating at best. Dr. Glassque, our primary internal systems
technician, spent a couple sleepless nights compounding data. After
exhausting all known mundane reality electrical concerns, Dr. Glassque
decided to turn to Yams Moongood and our Astral Projection study Dept.
heads. The conclusion they reached was truly remarkable.

It was determined that the heightened states of awareness and increased
spiritual attachment with further planes outside themselves that our
initiates had been experiencing were actually interfering with our
equipment many floors away! As the number of inductees we process daily
increases, so has the level of powerful astro-spiritual activity in the
building. Needless to say, we have been astounded at the level of
wondrous enlightenment our initiates are experiencing.

Dr. Glassque has since recalibrated our equipment and provided additional
measures to account for this heightened level or spiritual activity. All
systems are now functioning normally.

In light of all this, I encourage all our initiates to ponder deeply your
effect of those people and things around them; and to not take lightly the
wonderful and powerful effect of your new enlightened existence.

{ extended summer hours}

In order to accommodate the increasing number or visitors to our San
Francisco induction center, we are extending our weekly hours for the
summer season, beginning on May 17th 2009.

Our daily hours remain the same, 12pm to 5:30pm but we will now also be
open on SUNDAY! That makes the new hours of our induction center as
follows:

Tuesday through SUNDAY, 12pm to 5:30pm

Now you can share the innovations of the Jejune Institute with your family

Though these materials were added to our website some time ago, we wanted

We welcome the future that we now rename the present, and an age where our

RE: e-mail

Hmm, good thing the JI is open longer (More visits!) but does anyone else find it strange that they mention NOTHING about the attacks on the 30th?

Plus, has anyone thought that maybe JUST MAYBE the EPWA are the bad guys here? I mean, I know it's a stretch and all signs point to "no"... but just think about it for a second.

EPWA Black Hats

I've been thinking about that a lot, actually. Would make a great next act, since this last one was all about the EPWA. Would be interesting if the EPWA were the black hats after all.

EPWA.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Two theories.

EPWA: bad!

1) Armbands, forced marches, receiving commands from an unseen leader ... it's so obvious ...

2) Why does EPWA's card say something about their "thinking that nonchalance can be obtained by beaucracy"? Wouldn't it be something more along the lines of "Huzzah! We are thee greatenest!"

EPWA and JI: one big bad!

1) Both EPWA and JI talk about 2036, right?

2) Both EPWA and JI were co-mingling with the induction form -- if they were supposed to be seen as bitter foes, wouldn't there have been a rogue EPWA folder somewhere in the room, say, sticking out behind the LCD screen? Or did that not playtest as well?

Rats, gotta go.

I'm kinda fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. That being said, I always root for the underdog.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Maybe the idea here isn't good or bad, but rather to 'guide' us through a VERY specific experience designed to bring about change.

Ever try to get a friend involved with JI? Once they see the web site or hear the words "induction" YOU look like a crazy cult member.

If you speak of our 'operation' YOU look like some sort of crazy "tinfoil hat wearing" street activist.

Both states of being, cult member and activist, are VERY "San Francisco" (or Bay Area) experiences. Both experiences (thus far) require you to let go of your ego and not take yourself seriously. That is definitely a calculated nudge toward potential nonchalance.

I think as long as we are following our quest towards Eva Lucian, we will experience our own "Evolution" (and no longer be a mundane dinosaur) if you are open to the experience.

A recondite family awaits. Wink

First time posting

Hi All,

Just checking in. Jejune/EPWA is my first ARG and my curiosity after a friend and I completed the initial phase led me to Unfiction. Unfortunately, I found y'all after the April 30th event, and we missed the shenanigans by a couple of minutes. We even looked for the little glyph in hopes of following, but didn't see any and assumed it was a momentary event. Tragic.

I'm itching to get started on the second act, but I promised my sidekick that I would wait for her to get back from a month in Paris on business, so I may just go pick up the CD and rip it onto my iPhone. Is there the potential that I will miss my window of opportunity if I start early- to mid-June?

What was the linked craigslist ad? It expired by the time i clicked it.

Hey there Sweeney. As of right now I imagine the institute will be open in June, now I have no proof or insider info, but the latest e-mail talking about "Summer Hours" seems to point to "yes, it will be open."

As for the craigslist ad, it was simply a call to arms for the April 30th rally. Too bad the video of that day has not been posted yet, hopefully we'll see something soon! Have fun in Paris, and hopefully see you in the next act!

And Phoenix, awesome interpretation of the experience thus far, your explanation makes the most sense I think Wink

HA! Funny Ideas!

I work 7 days a week, so I PROBABLY can't do much of this,...

But I was thinking about things to do while we await the next stage, (wherein we glue our hobo teeth into our mouths to allow us to transit clearly between elsewhere and notquitethereyet, maybe?)

I had a few ideas on Jejune or EPWA themed jaunts that could be gone upon. These are all filler activities to promote the Fiction as a whole, or themed to fit in it in some way.

1. $cientology like proselytizing as Jejune Goons, where we do some kind of street side processing with a table and books, maybe a view master rigged up as a time camera, and coupons for memory recording that take people to the Jejune institute induction.

This could be a hell of allot of fun, if set up with some care and though, especially by someone who has the back story and mythos down well.

2. Fake Tour Groups , scratch it, that one was stupid

3. Finally,
YETI HUNT IN DELORES PARK!!!
Every goes in safari gear, and hunts a yeti with nerf guns.
Someone will have to dig up a convincing Yeti.
I have a giant chicken suit, but it just isnt the same.

Just some ideas to keep things going.
oh, If any of you have any kids, there is a mad hatters tea party on May 30th at Yerba Buena Gardens, followed by a Alice in wonderland themed performance group.
Shoudl be extra nifty,.. and it's free.

i would suggest setting a table up next to an actual scientology stress test in the BART station but i donno how well that'd go over since those guys are kinda on their toes from all the anonymous shenanigans and it'd be bad if they took it wholly the wrong way.

otherwise it's a fun idea. i just donno what books you would use.

i think the yeti hunt would be fun. we could place some spray paint foot prints around and follow them or something.

recruiting
having fun

So after work i went and got a burrito, and this guy was wearing a ray gun shirt so I thought he may be a good candidate for the Jejune's extended hours so I gave him the address and time and kept it real vague. Then, by chance I went into the cafe next door and he was there so we had another mini conversation about "slack" sub genius stuff you know. Then I went home and had an idea so I called the cafe and asked for him by name the person who answered knew him and gave him the phone. So I altered my voice and told him not to go to the Jejune Institute very urgently and he laughed, and I Hung up.

Having fun is fun.

I want too hunt a yeti, If it's hot water balloons are cheap and attainable plus a wet yeti would be funny. Sunday and Thursday day are good for me.

I am down for all of this. Even the fake tour group thing. Set it up so we point out the Goddesses and Coit Tower. Talk about Eva. It may be stupid. But the tourist wont know what hit them. They may not be able to actually play, but that would be a hell of a story to tell when they get back home. "So these guys told me that people standing in line is a form of harressment...it was all so San Francisco lololololol'. Do it free of charge and just walk them through Chinatown. Or pretend to be JeJune and tell them all about time cameras and point them towards the institute. A day in SF playing a game. At least an hour out of the ordinary for a tourist.

The others, I don't know what days I'll have off. It's looking like either Thurs/Fri or Sun/Mon. I don't know yet. (Prays to Eva it's Fri/Sat that would rule). But for sure it wont be Tues/Weds. My work schedule is moving around. When I know when I'm free...I am down for anything at anytime on those days.
