Not downtown at all.

As far as a get together, that might be tricky due to the location. For me, I work downtown and will have to get there via public transit. And I imagine that for most, they'll have an equally difficult travel scheme.

EWPA says the event will take an hour, but I'd wager based on the extremely high likelyhood the notary will be at the exploratorium, they'll have some kind of reception/hi jinks at the space.

The exploratorium did not say how long the event was scheduled to last.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I'm coming from from downtown too. Looks like a 45 minute ride on the 30 stockton. Anybody want to split a cab?

From here to there
All us embarking-from-downtown-SF-folks

I was looking at getting a zipcar for the evening since there's a spot on the block where I work, but at the cost for as long as I'd want to check it out, I could also just drive down, park for the day, and then not have to deal with returning the car and figuring out how to get home from there later on. And subjecting CaptKing to that too.

So yeah, I'm most likely driving tomorrow, and if I got CaptKing and his luggage, I got room for two more... small car. I aim to leave work at 5pm to give me/us plenty of time. Drop me a private message on this board (or email me if you got it) if you're in the downtown area and need a ride. man, fast, ride claimed. Sorry I don't drive a Tardis, everyone. Sad Rides are available again, see below.

Hey there j.carrie

Glad to see that you'll be coming to the event tomorrow! Always good to get some new people around.

If you cannot find a ride, you can eaisly take bart/muni to get there.

Just take the Daly City BART and get off at Embarcadero. Then take Bus 30 to... well the destination (thought I was going to slip up and tell everyone where we are metting huh? Wink)

I'm arriving at Oakland Airport around 2:15 tomorrow. If you want to meet up at a local BART station at that time, and I'll show you how to get there, just shoot me a message.

I will be on the exact spot as in the email at 6:09pm. From there I'm sure something will happen to lead us where we end up.

I'll have my incognito on, my bell in one hand and my other jazzed.

PREPARE FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!

 Rides from downtown

I've actually got an empty car now, so rides from downtown SF are once again available on 7au Bus Lines. Room for maybe one more if you're tiny, since my car is a compact. You may also not be guaranteed a ride back as I'm driving CaptKing on the return trip. Message me through the site or via email if ya got it.

Exporatorium, I have a good friend who works there and could find out what's going on there tonight, but I'd rather be surprised!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ah, the good ol' Exploratorium. I have not been there in years. I once worked there as an "Explainer".

I am coming from Berkeley and do not drive, but I do not see a problem getting to the meetup location.
Travelling via public transit is best given this is Pride weekend in LGBTIIQQ mecca.

Send me a text, if interested in meeting in the East Bay en route to San Francisco.

Www man. It's gonna be at the exploratorium? After hours? So damn jelis right now. Y'all better be taking tons of pictures. I'm gonna have to live this AND the Oakland journey vicariously. Well at least my mission to NY went well. Details and pictures when I get back later this coming week when I'll have access to a comprooter.

Dream is notarized and awaited for me to actually go to a post office.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
While Agent Sexy Shark and myself were victim to gang stalking with traffic always going slower the closer it got to 6:09pm we managed to find the group (the tin foil hat was super incognito).

The instructions were apparently taped under a park bench. Opening them we all read off the clues and bumbled around the Palace of Fine Arts until it led us to the Exploratorium ( Sorry little girls trying to relax onto of the 'stairs').
We were led inside all the way to the back to the DOME. Once inside we met our notary.
In order to have our dreams notarized you had to take off your shoes and go through a maze in complete darkness. No light. The only thing you had to guide you was your sense of touch.
Once out our Dreams were notarized, our signatures in the book and they took our thumb prints ( I think they gonna steal our identity).
Then out into the world.

I did not catch the notary's name but then again I was too busy ringing my bell...I'm sure someone else caught it and someone else will post a much more detailed account of the night.

Un-related some of us went and got Japanese food while being huge nerds.

Patent.

That was the awesomenest. It was swell meeting/re-meeting everyone -- duckstabd, calbruin, jason, urban phoenix, capt king, sexyshark, organelle, triclyops, briareosh, mithra, rf, lie, the guy eating the green tea ice cream+1 who had to split, the gal in the glasses who kept cracking me up, and other people whose names I never got or unfortunately forgot 'cause my brain is made of thinly-sliced fishcake.

Now, a question ...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Was the second session rumor just a rumor, or was that a sure/almost-sure thing?
