Guardian.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The Guardian Best of the Bay "Editor's Pick" for "Best Alternative Reality" starts: "Looking to join a cult ..." (pg 21).

In other news, JI people put up a few flyers in Alameda and the ones that were visible from the street had approximately 1/5th the staying power as one of the yellow Vital-Orbit ones facing the sidewalk. I believe it alone was able to disseminate all of its dangly phone# seedpods before being discovered. Longevity through obscurity.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
word of advice: don't post fliers anywhere within about 2 blocks of the ScientoLOLogy building on Montgomery street, especially if they're on the way from the church to any Starbucks nearby (they LOVE their coffee). they will not last long. the BEST place to get a flier seen is anywhere within 2 blocks of the intersection between Montgomery and Washington so be sure to hit up every lamp post in that area.

also, a random something that my fellow nonchalants might enjoy:

and for the bay area folks, a little linguistic history adventure:

Oi Oi

We seem to be stuck, in a sticking place.

Having not been around for a few weeks I dropped back expecting so much to have happened, and it seems nothing has.

Obviously can't count anything going on in this forum as official, so it seems to have run aground again.
Anyone have any news?

Some kind of contact to know we are still in progress and that noe one important got hit by a bus, derailing the whole thing would be great.
Also very interested in getting together to come up with a promotional plan for attracting new inductees.

I think we need 4 people, two auditors one Hobo and a tour guide.
And should be done mid-tourist season, or at least while tourists are still about...

Hey guys!

Since we now got a new sub-forum (AGAIN thanks to the awesome mods), we can start new topics!

So, I'm sure general JI discussion can stay here, but when the new act begins/more people start to arrive, we can start having multiple topics of discussion.

weird. nonchalance.com is no longer showing the profiles page and is instead immediately redirecting to nonchalance.org

Awesome post by Kelvin! It is starting to get really interesting. I love the pictures of the Savants. So it seems like Beth might know what happened to Eva... I just thought of something maybe Kelvin is the man Peggy is going to send to meet up with Eva? I dunno

Hmm. that is interesting. Its funny, because the hoboglyph that used to redirect to the .com site just spits it back to .org as well...

maybe they are working/revamping the site?

EDIT
It seems things are starting to stir, I got a text a few days ago talking about the radio broadcast, and now a new post from Kelvin. Hopefully we'll see something new soon!

and another one!

Check out the pdf attachments at the bottom. I love the teacher's notes

Not sure if things are heating up, or if they are turning on the slow simmer.

Interesting to see their polaroids from the day.

Me and the family just had dinner last night with one of my wife's old friends. Hometown, wild, punk-rock Sunset girls back then: mom's and housewives now. It's all part of the life thing.

Results from this MIT study don't bode well for our tinfoil-based countermeasures.

http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/

Have we been duped? Does JI know about this?

it's not actually the tinfoil that blocks the signal. it provides a placeboic effect that occurs in the mind and disrupts the microwave harassment. the tinfoil (or rather aluminum foil) is merely a psychosomatic augmentation tool to help the brain protect itself from harmful synthetic telepathy.

to the layman: it's a security blanket for the mind.
