whoa, a necklace huh? Eva's mom mentions the necklace in the letters to Eva. It's supposed to contain "Rumi's Field".

I'm going this Wednesday. I'll try to be there when it opens at 1pm

Sept 2nd Visit

Tungsten and I will be there on the 2nd.
Kelvin says that more items will be be forthcoming, so staggered visits seem like a good idea.

a touchy thing, a tricky maneuver

http://rememberingeva.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/its-a-touchy-thing/

a slap on the wrist from Kevlin. He's concerned about the diary being damaged during the scanning process and that the intimacy of what is literally a diary is being tainted by scanning and posting it online for anyone to happen upon and look at.

This means no scanning and no posting online. I don't think we're prohibited from taking pictures but again i think those pictures are going to have to remain offline. It seems if we're gonna use this for clues that we're gonna have to have our own copies and refer to them personally.

Damnit! Oh, well. (. . . sigh . . .) Sad

I wonder if passive trading would be acceptable? Meaning, what if whoever takes pictures of whatever they are willing to share via mail. Wink

went to the library today. i have to say i don't think the woman who co-owns it expected so many people to be stopping by their personal book collection. there were only like 6 of us there but it's a small place that doesn't look like it gets hardly any foot traffic.

oh, just an FYI for those who are going there later, be prepared for a much larger book than you might have imagined. this isn't some little Mead notebook, it's a BOOK.

Scooping Everfalling

New (non) post from Kelvin:

Let the pronogsticating commence.

I wager it's a technical manual of some kind.

I was there yesterday with ever and urban phoenix. Though it's been said before.. it's long. as in, more than 100 pages long. Lots of detail. I was able to photo it in about 15 mins, and I think ever did the same, (but with more care taken I suspect Very Happy )

I'm planning to head over there next week to see it again, or at least to check out more of the library, which, in itself, is a fantastic place worthy of a visit.

..also, what ever said.. it wouldn't surprise me if the journal needed to find a new home fairly soon. I hope Kelvin let them know what they were in for. Shocked

I found a possible lead in the journal. Going to follow it up tomorrow. I'll report back with my findings.

I found and followed up a couple too, but I'm only about 1/2 way through it.

I'll put what I found in a spoiler below..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I've called all the phone numbers listed on one of the pages. Here's what I got:

Delsqui - two different messages - one was "Mobile customer is out of range", the second message was "sorry, the user's mailbox is full" I'm going to keep trying, maybe he'll be within range at some point?

Cornelius- leads to the Hip Hop Shoe Repair line

Play2 - leads to the Alemeny Antique and Flea Market. I've tried calling back during their business hours and still get the recording. It says they're open from 7-3 on Sunday. Might be worth a visit out there.

I also came across some references to "..meet me at the Grotto" which may refer to this: www.sfgrotto.org I can't find any other significance to it yet.. maybe something later?
