Alemeny Flea Market

Couldn't make it to the Prelinger Library this Wed. - hoping to get there on the 6th (I believe that's the next day they're open?). In the meantime, I'm down for a visit to the Alemeny flea market on Sunday.

Flea Market

I'm not convinced you will find anything directly involving this tale at the Alemany Flea Market. On the other hand, I still think anyone interested in going should go. It is a local treat for sure.

In fact, I'm down for going too, if we want to make this an impromptu group thing. Last time I went, I got a 1953 Brownie Hawkeye box camera for ten bucks, only minutes before I noticed some dude in a fur coat and a fuchsia t-shirt with lettering in what looked like gold mylar asking around for one. I had to move my bag somewhere he couldn't see my score. That camera was coming home with me, man. Fur Coat: 0, Team 7au: 1!

If you plan on going, go in the morning. (Yah, I know, it is anathema to get our butts out of bed early on a Sunday, I understand. But it is the only way.) I've arrived there at 1pm before, and a good third of the vendors were packing it up already.

something to take note of:

the Stem Obfuscation and Clarification Center closed down so that's gonna be one less place to find the transcript of Radio Nonchalance

Woah woah woah! On their PirateKat radio interview, Drybones claimed that Twitter was a machination of the Jejune Institute, therefore they weren't using it. This can't be 'official'.

If you go to the EPWA site you will find links to that Twitter account and Twitpic.

Things Change

Kelvin has been very busy lately:

"soon" is the timeframe.

"JetAirways Goes Bust" is the Suggested Possible Related Post.

YES. As you say.

Whoa whoa whoa, who put this obelisk here?! Wink

Pack your bags, prep your laptops and pen lights. I'm feeling some exploring coming on! (Or at least, I hope so.)

Also sorry if on the off-chance people went to the flea market and looked for me. Sleep got the better of me due to excessive end-time preparations and getting-scanned-for-signs-of-zombiehood.
