Balloons! Nice! Pictures! Yay!

If you left something behind (not saying what it is because if I say what it is and then ask you to describe it, you can probably check people's photos), and you are missing it, there is a chance that I have it. Send me a message on this board or via email to tell me what it is, and then we can arrange to get you two reunited.

follow-up to recent events

am i missing something?

after the "event" on the 16th and visiting the SoEx at 4:30 on the 17th, i feel totally bummed at the overall lack of... anything, really. SO MANY questions have yet to be answered and what seemed as though it would be a grand finale on the anniversary of Eva's disappearance turned into basically nothing at all. maybe i am being too harsh, but after drinking some tea and receiving an all-too-familiar phone call, i feel that those of us who have been following the story and who have been searching for Eva all along, have been basically forgotten, as it seems that the only mission right now is to get newcomers involved. .... ???

i can only hope that time will tell another story...

if anyone has any real insight/new information, write me, please.

c

I have my doubts about this. The gallery exhibit (which again runs until December 12th) builds a foundation for the event at SoEx this Saturday October 24th at 2:00pm. Where will that thread lead? I do not know. But I bet it will lead somewhere.

Step back a bit for the larger picture: they had to incorporate the opening of SoEx into their own timeline. Things like that aren't always going to mesh like perfect gears meshing meshingly perfect.

Will anyone be able to videotape the entire talk?

I don't have answers or even theories. Just doubts. Like the assumption that JI is guilty of patent theft. Would anyone connected with EPWA make that much of an issue over money?

If JI is actually spreading false nonchalance, they are the enemy. Certainly. But again, there is something about C14, other than his words, which seem disconnected from nonchalance, especially of the divine variety, and disconnected from public works, here or elsewhere.

Missions of a higher nature have leaders, not commanders.

When I put my life on the line for divine nonchalance, it won't be because of patent infringement. And it won't be because I'm "commanded" to do so.

Coming into the tree fort to cause problems, eh?

Didn't you see the sign!?!? No coleman lovers allowed...they got the cooties!!!

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go get me a cootie shot.

(also in all para-miltary groups there are ranks...ours fights with bells and jazz hands. The commander just has a commanding voice of non-chalance which got him a rank. NOW SHAPE UP SOLDIER)

new blog post from Kelvin. he doesn't seem to know what to make of EPWA but is understanably confused at the whole movement. Seems he's gonna try to do act 2 as well as act 3 soon. i just wonder when he'll get around to act 1. If he didn't know about the EPWA until now he certainly doesn't know about the Jejune Institute (though i suppose he heard about it on the radio broadcast). i just wonder what he'll think if he gets around to getting inducted. this should be interesting.

AH! I think I see where this might be going. Now that Kelvin is starting to see the world of Nonchalance, he will find out about the Jejune Institute and get inducted. We will have a goondroid who feels deeply about Eva. I think he may become an obstacle in the future. I agree with you Ever... it's going to get interesting! Very Happy

I want to second that request. I realise that I shall be working during those hours and will miss the talk.

Anyone video taping or at least use the camera on their phone?

Which reminds me of something I forgot to mention from way back. Maybe it's already been mentioned.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

If you try to type "jejune" in my cellphone, it doesn't know what that crazy word is. So it tries to substitute a word. You know how these things always miss the mark. The word that popped up: "kelvin."

580jrjr.

Commander 14's broadcast Friday night included a laundry list of items that were needed in the undetermined future. One item on this list, and I'm paraphrasing here, was "miniature models of the Jejune Institute." That's plural there, so it's time to get to work, especially when the undetermined future could be this determined Saturday! I went ahead and made 580jrjr, a simplified version of 580jr, so other people could create models using a reg'lar printer. And also a "blank" for people to go freeform/"hog wild." Wrap the Jejune Institute around a carton of milk! Shrink it down, make it the size of a deck of cards! Print out two of them and make them fight! Churn out a dozen of them, carry them in a sack! Use Rasterbator, blow it up large enough to stick on a discarded refrigerator box! Small! Big! Micro! Jumbo! Draw an abstract version of the JI while asleep! Mount a bell on the inside so goondroids can't mess with your stuff! Hup hup hup!

There are three PDFs available. They appear underneath JPG representations of these PDFs.

http://cardhouse.com/pix/temp/580jrjr-back-kearny.pdf [61 meg]

http://cardhouse.com/pix/temp/580jrjr-blank.pdf

These should be editable, if you want to drag them into your favorite vector/raster editing program and bend it. Yes!

duckstabd's photos from the event

Oh hello there everyone. I took some photos at the event last Friday and have finally uploaded them to "The Flickr". I'm a bit of a cheapskate and don't have the Professional™ Flickr™, so it's scaled them down quite a bit. If anybody wants a non-smushed copy of any of these, PM me.

I also shot some video which I'm currently working on and hope to post somewhere soon.
