Joyity

I got the T-mobile G1 phone and there's an application you can download called Joyity. I was wondering if anyone here has checked it out. It seems like it has a lot of potential for creating a really fun location based ARG.

Basically it allows a user to create a game and leave real or virtual clues in real-life locations. So when a player travels to that location, the GPS on the phone sees your location it triggers the clue or message which could then lead you to a new location when solved. It could unravel a story, or be more of a hunt for some kind of prize, etc. They even have a couple simulated games pre-loaded where you move your character around on the map and you don't actually have to travel. I'm not sure if the simulations are available for user-created games though.

I think once the application gains more users, this could lead to some cool ARGish games.

The worst thing about this program is that there isn't much documentation or instruction for creating or playing games. I think a lot of the people downloading it are confused on what it is exactly and how to play. Also, so far, their forums are pretty much empty. It's new though, so hopefully it'll pick up.

Im hoping someone does make an ARg for it. I've been waiting for a scavenger-hunt ARG that I can participate in. The only thing is that: is Joyity only for T-Mobile phones? I have a Verizon wireless enV2 and im gonna be kinda bummed if i cant do it
