dasro and I tried to find the Raleigh drop, but had no luck. Either we were beaten there or are the worst lookers ever - definitely found the location that the clue referred to, looked around the base of the rotunda, but no dice.

Yeah it's been recovered according to AAA. .

So we're not bad finders, just slow Wink. Good to know!

it only took me 15 minutes to find the Phoenix dead Drop. I just used Google Earth, found a birdseye view using the lower left hand corner latitude and longitude coordinates, got in car, drove about 10 minutes and picked up the package. Those of you with cities tomorrow, have google earth ready with your city, and then just use the pointer to find the exact location of lat and lon, and go get your package.

does google earth require internet access?

can you refer to it while youre looking?

also, was your bag hard to find?
was it like exactly where the lat/lon pointed?
or just in the general location?

for the Chicago drop I just looked at the map, wrote the intersection down (as it was basically on the corner) and followed the clues "in the hedges just past the two trees, along the fence." the bag was the exact same color as the hedges and I didnt know what I was looking for. I also found out I had to be inside the fenced in area haha. I saw an orange wristband and thought that was the clue, bent down, grabbed it...nothing...then looked up and it was just sitting there perched on the branches inside the middle of a hedge. very hard to see, but the directions helped a lot more than the coords, as even the most precise coords can be 5-10ft off

Yes, Google earth needs internet access. Before I left, I just looked at where I was going from a birdseye view, and then found the closest landmark that I could get an adress to, google mapped it, got there and found the package right where the coordinates and clue stated it was. it is nice since you can google earth your city and then use the pointer to drag and in the lower left hand corner is the lat and lon coordinates associated with where you are pointing, and just get closer and closer. Download it and practice tonight with the coordinates already given to get you ready for tomorrow.

I am curious if everyone got XL shirts in their drops? I have the Chicago package and it had an XL shirt, but XL is a bit large on me. I was hoping for a Large or even a medium. If anyone else with a package has a shirt too small for them, PM me!

the same t-shirt was given away at Penny Arcade Expo by Bryan Intihar (Insomniac Games Community Manager) and all he had was XL, so i dunno if they even made any other sizes

Central Park

First post. Dont look for the one in Central Park. Found it bout half hour after location was given. Seems IG has people watching over these things cause some dude was watching me like a hawk and pointed me in the right direction and left right afterwards. Score one for this dominican from Harlem Twisted Evil

To those looking for any future drops, just look for any person watching a random area for any specific length of time. The dude in Central just says outta no where "It's over there in the bushes" not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I went over there and it was in a black bag all wrapped up. If it wasn't for him i never would have noticed it, it was just that inconspicuous. So yeah look out for them, they'll be there waiting.

Philly Dead Drop

Sad I got there at 5:06 it was gone. It was in a cemetery near a supply closet with an arch over top with McDaniels printed on it. I saw where it was hidden but it was gone. Some lady who ran the park said someone had come two hours before. What a waste of 1 hr round trip!

=(

So it was recovered right after the location was announced, but almost 5 hours later has still not been entered into metastasis. This is getting frustrating.

Playing with comics

I thought since we have a good sum of comic strips that I'd try to paste some of them together to see what we get.

Yeah, I went to get the Austin one, but someone already grabbed it.

Is there anyway to get them to drop another one?
