I am in San Francisco and just heard about this. I can go look tomorrow, assuming the SF one isn't already found (I see markus has a friend that looked or is going to look). I found the coordinates and instructions. It isn't far from my house--I wish I was paying attention to this sooner!

well my friend never got back to me Mad

so good luck to you finding it. Maybe if they do finally look, you might meat each other, haha. We could share it, maybe?

and congrats to INCyr!

and thank you, sometallusjinks, that saved me a lot of time, very well done!

It rained a lot last night and it is raining very hard right now. I might venture out there (this is in a section of Golden Gate Park that is usually closed off to cars on weekends, so it's a little bit of a hike to that spot). I think I will hope for the rain to let up at least. Muddy is bad enough. I hope they thought to wrap it in plastic. Rolling Eyes

Nice. You really turned me around on this whole thing. I'll just drop everything and run right out into the storm this second.

Good luck, Ranger D.

I was out there for about a half hour in the pouring rain (~1:00- 1:35pm) and got soaked for nothing. The area is well traveled by homeless people and gardeners, judging from all the empty bottles, random crap, and gardening equipment laying about. It seems very likely that someone not associated with the game found it already. If Ranger D doesn't find it (or no one else for that matter), it would be nice to get a verification from the PMs that it is still there. If there is a verification, I will go search again.

My camera, with fully charged batteries, will now not turn on. I am hoping that if rain water got inside, it will dry out and that my camera isn't completely broken. Grrrrr. I may or may not post the pictures I took. They just show the area in general, as well as some of the random crap in the shrubbery.

Description   The thick line shows where I did the majority of my search.
The narrower lines are where I looked, but with less gusto, since the coordinates show it as being where the marker is, within the thick lined area.

I think Helios87 volunteered to replace your camera.

ugh, my account on America First, america only has been locked out, too many attempts with wrong password. I know that I haven't been on since last night, so someone has to have done this. "Thank you to whom it may concern" and I have emailed 42E to see what they can do for me.

I was out here in SF searching the areas that hmrpita searched and the area east of it for almost two hours (10:00 - 11:30), and nothing. (I did see a Mercedes drove by in ultra slow mode, which had me thinking that it was a spotter, and prompted me to do that long search) So it's likely that someone who has no idea what it is found it, or the PMs decided to pull the plug because of the weather.

There are shrubs beneath the trees.
