If there is a Live Event in L.A., I am all over it. I have been waiting to close out this ARG for quite some time.

lol i'm pretty sure if they pull another event, they'll have to put one in Toronto just for Bruce... (which would be nice cause i'm in Kingston Mr. Green )

I saw the ad last night, freaking awesome! I wasn't totally sure it was an R2 ad until about 15 seconds in, but as soon as I realized it, I was totally hyped about it. I don't even HAVE a PS3... Smile

I was totally going to drive up to LA for this, after my doctor's appointment - then my boss schedules a meeting for 1:30PM :p

Oh well, have fun and take lots of pics Smile

If I can figure out where in L.A. I am supposed to go, I promise I will take many pictures for all to see. I guess I'll have to keep checking AFAO to see if they post locations within the cities.

Previous ARGs have directly involved the sponsors, such as Dark Knight having live events ending with a trailer screening--there were reps from the studio handling the trailer and the theater arrangements. It's quite possible that the sponsor specified the list of cities, or said that they want a distribution across the country in big cities, or even cities their own research indicates the highest bang-for-the-buck in advertising.

I have confidence that 42e knows where their players live, and try their best to offer rewarding experiences to as many people as they can.

I never thought of that. I'm sure you're right that the backers are likely the ones to choose locations. After all, it's really the largest masses of consumers that might buy the game that they're really trying to advertise to, not so much the argers. So It would make sense that cities that might have the largest numbers of bystanders to interest (whether they knew about the arg or not) would be considered prime locations. Ah well..

Anyway, as for the cities, maybe its going to be a live "get to a location before anyone else" event? I mean with each city's meet location only released after the countdown?

hmm, but if they're hoping for big numbers, a simple location is always the best... the only reason to narrow down the number of people who get the "prize" is if it actually cost money... (like the free tickets from the Dark Knight ARG)

oh, and i doubt they've been posting R2 full-building adds in 20 cities without everybody noticing, so i'm going to vote on AFAO being updated within 24 hours of the countdown finishing.

Just my two cents.

Worst case scenario, I know exactly where that building is in L.A. as I have seen many concerts at the El Rey (Which can barely be seen in the photo). I figure if nothing else, I'll start there.

On the bright side, perhaps the resistance group moved to Canada?

Yay!

OK... So... Now what?

ETA:
And, for the record, there ain't a whole lot of buildings they can do that sort of thing in Miami. That building in LA is taller than almost every building we have in Miami.

As a lot of us Americans might want to do if certain 'events' happen in the coming weeks. :|

We feel your pain, AFAO.

Also, just a little note (and spec) Volume 8 of AFAO is still not clickable. I wonder if maybe we'll get some more information in there pre-event (if there is an event) or maybe post-event (as a follow-up?). I sure hope so, because I'm about 100% sure I won't make it to any of those locations now.
