Yay! We have our internet back! I was so worried I'd be locked out of the game all day waiting for technicians to finish fixing the problem.

Anyway, I'm all caught up, I think. Batgirl, shylilembrace found the switches in the second floor hallway when she managed to get out of the room.

I'm going to try to break into 574 if no one else has done it since the landlord told me that it was possible. Then I'll head back to the dumbwaiter if I'm needed there.

This is a run-down of what Shy and I have accomplished:

We both knocked down my door and escaped into the hallway. The hallway seems plain, except for something at the end of the hall. Six rows of switches, eight switches to each row.

On this wall was a note, with a riddle. When Shy solved this riddled, it gave us the words "Get out".

Me and Shy have the theory that the number of switches is EQUAL to the number of rooms in the hotel. This works because on every floor there is a missing door on the map, thus evening to eight. We'll see if it works.

Well at this point I am waiting for tongue tied to return so we can kick the front door down together - joint effort might do the trick... in the mean time - who wants to know who made a mess in 573? :p

okay, so the switches have to do with the numbers, six switches, six meaningful lines in the riddle.

It seems are theory was flawed. I noticed this while looking at Sareff's(shy) paper:

The first is in gear but not in pear
The second is in egg and also ear,
The third is in tub but not in pub.
The fourth is in bow and in roar,
The fifth is in pour but not in bore,
The last is in tea, so what can it be?
The answer is your goal indeed,
But the true question is, will you succeed?

Basically, the riddle above, the one that solves to "Get Out", isn't through with us yet. There are six lines with "six" numbers. The first is x, the second is x, the third is x, the fourth is x, the fifth is x, the last is x. Six. And also eight lines all together. 6 and 8. 6 rows, 8 switches. Coincidence? Of course not! We're theorizing as I relay this...

Musicluver315, you. and myself now have access to 514. Are we still trying to put together the key fragments or has everyone given up on that. I'm willing to try to break out into the hallway.

We suspect something like this:

The first line symbolizes the fifth switch.

The second line means we should "click" the fifth and eighth.

And so on.

Basically, the fifth word in the first line is the word with the letter "G" in it, for the word "get". So we click the fifth switch. On the second line the letter "e" is on both the fifth and eighth word. We're pretty confident with this theory, and will try it out.

EDIT: Nuala, I think the key fragments weren't for the room doors in the first place, but something else ahead. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to break through the walls/doors so easily. That, or we just brute-forced past a puzzle. xD
