And on a less hilarious note, Sareff and I found a staircase in the passageway. Now, whether it goes up or down we shall soon find out, and wear it leads I will know...

I agree with Sareff! Don't do it. Think of fire and no way out... nevermind the falling chandelier! Smile

Which staircase, SPI? If it's the hallway in 279 it leads to the basement where I am with Moody.

Well, I'm not going to make any bombs. As of yet anyways.
That's for later, in case of last resort.

However, there are more than just bomb recipes in that book.

Ok, I think it is time to put all those key on one of the tables somewhere, because:

Quote:
The closest door to you is labeled "Janitorial".

It is locked.

Fastened to the door are three pictures:

A photo of a Salvidor Dali painting.
A photo of a red art deco rug.
A photo of a red oriental rug.

I will check all the doors to see, which keys belong to each other and post them here. Maybe I will find a plan somewhere.

How many of us dumped our fragments on the reception desk in the foyer? There are a few there.

I haven't done that yet, but I will when I found out all the other combinations. We should post it here, when we take some fragments from the table or someone could grab them all, combine them and unlock all the doors up here.

I handed my key fragments to Sareff a few days ago. And the passageway I speak of is the one Andrea found in the dining room. It might lead to the basement as well.

Here's what I DID do, to alleviate any fears of the place blowing up:

Quote:
I grin and start pulling out any and all chemicals I can and set them on the counter, as well as the tupperware and ziploc baggies. A shame there's no canning jars, but you can't have everything.
I pull out the copy of the Anarchist's Cookbook and get to preparing the ingredients needed in the proper amounts to go about making fuel, intending to eventually make a lamp. I store this in some tupperware.
-MAKE FUEL

Along that train of thought, I also grab some tinfoil.
-GET TINFOIL

After this, I put the Cookbook into it's more classic use and start measuring individual ingredients needed to make some explosives. I store everything seperately in ziplocs, laid on the counter, labeled with the pen. However, I do not actually mix anything together, merely getting things ready, in case of last resort.
-PREPARE INGREDIENTS FOR LAST RESORT ESCAPE PLAN

With that out of the way, I tear a blank page out of one of the cookbooks and scribble on it with one of the pens I found earlier: "DO NOT MIX THESE! LAST RESORT ESCAPE OPTION! DO NOT (with three lines scribbled under 'not') WANT TO SET THE PLACE ON FIRE WITH NO ESCAPE!"
-DO THIS

I also copy down on another blank sheet torn out of another cookbook, the steps needed to properly mix the ingredients, and tuckit underneath the warning I just wrote.
-COPY INSTRUCTIONS

And yes, I've been treating this as a bit of an old school text based adventure. Mr. Green

Gah, you're absolutely adorable...I laugh out loud at your text-based adventure-like methods of communication. Smart thinking with the warning and the extra set of instructions...Now if you die, we won't have to immediately worry! Laughing

Did anyone grab the Brazen Bull book from the library? I just found one in the boiler room located in the basement. I'm looking inside now, just in case there are clues (and because I'm obsessed with checking everything, which has been established). Maybe it's related.

I found one in the study, but I am not sure, if I took it with me.

Quote:
The next door appears to be normal, no pictures located on it. Squinting down the hallway, you find that indeed, only the laundry room and the janitor's closet seem to have photos fastened to them.

Seems that we only need six fragments up here:

The ones for the janitory and for the laundry:

Quote:
The closest door to you is labeled "Janitorial".

It is locked.

Fastened to the door are three pictures:

A photo of a Salvidor Dali painting.
A photo of a red art deco rug.
A photo of a red oriental rug.

and

Quote:
The next door you come to is marked, "Laundry".

It has three pictures fastened to it:

A picture of a white rose.
A picture of a red rose.
A picture of a white flower vase.

a brazen bull is a torture device, they'd burn people alive in it, and the screams would make the bull bellow, they'd heat the belly.
