we found coins under the grandfather clock which i wanted moved for no other reason then grandfather clocks always hide something, used them to solve a puzzle and got a key for our efforts while dropping the ceiling in the reception room and being taunted by the chandelier.

Sounds fun. I found a dime on the third floor if anyone needs it, but the rest of the third floor remains unexplored. Me and Salt both went off to investigate the rumbly.

I dropped off both our key fragments in the rec room, and the passage to the third floor is in the trapdoor beneath the ballroom piano.

Does anyone know if we need a key for a locked door?
I have a key from the coin slot thing.

The doors in the basement are locked. You can get there by taking room 279's hallway and following the staircase if you'd like to try tomorrow.

Me and Daisy (batgirl) were in the lobby, spaced out.
I made a lantern out of parts I found around the first floor (which luckily didn't get destroyed)
And I got the top and bottom portions of my key (anyone still have a key middle with red and white blanket?)

Also, what happened to all of the queens, and are there any other chess pieces?

I've still got two queens, and Illy has one I think, i'll wander over to the rec room and see if i can figure out what to do with them.

I have 4 Queens, I'm pretty sure I checked the rec room pretty thoroughly while I was in there but feel free to give it a second look.
My thoery is that we are supposed to find some Kings to go with them, but I could be mistaken.

I'm going to head to rm 279 to try my key in the basement door.

And if it's what I'm thinking of, it's going to be all queens, or all Queens plus one other chess piece.

I've found a silver ring in the ballroom that apparently matches the others found. I'll keep an eye out to see where they might belong.

I'm back too, has the janitory and the laundry been totaly searched? Need someone any help? Otherwise I go back to the other rooms on the fourth floor I haven't checked yet.
