Hrmmm, if there needs to be 10, then it doesn't make sense with the algorithm for solving the current puzzle and we may need to look in to other possible puzzles...

for the 8 version, since i already made it, here is an image...

I think it should be 8, when the original message on the ceiling was found ("half are truant") there were 4 Queens found in the room. I'm handing over my Queens now. Smile

I think the 8 queens solution is worth a try, as is the six queens solution... if no go we can always try to find more...

I found a marble statuette in the closet of room 378. The silver rings belong on the statuettes outstretched hand. So when everyone who has a ring gets a chance, would you come down the trap door in the ballroom and make your way here?

OK, the queens grabbed from the tables where black and white - not red... attempting to dunk them in blood... my guess is we will need to find more though...

Didn't we find a key with the janitorial puzzle? Have we found the door it unlocks yet? Because I looked for a sixth floor but the door I found was unlabled and closed. Maybe we can try the key with this door?

EDIT tongue tied, do you have tried the key somewhere? END EDIT

Just lettin it out there, there were a whole bunch of key fragments in the lobby when the ceiling crashed. I was able to dig up and 'grab a majority of the pieces' before I went into the rec room. That implies there could be more, so if we DO need them later, that's where they are.
