Now I am totally confused Confused Is this really an ARG about starting an ARG or are we communicating with one of us?

I'm joining you in your confusion Laughing but it will be interesting to find out how this develops.

So far my communication with Sophi(e) was more or less like everybody else's. Here's what she told me about Stillhet:

... Yep! They do weapons and other tech, they apparently did work on a computer OS a long while back. I'm hoping to find out what OS they did work on so I can get it up and look through it, since it was part of some controversy in the company. Apparently someone working for them left some odd code in it. ...

Oh, so THAT explains Vista...

I'm gonna lurk for a while and see where this goes. Looks cool!

Sounds interesting. If my schedule frees up a bit, I may join, but for now, I'm lurking as well.

I personally love how totally confusing this could be! It'll be fun and I bet it'll be scary at times. I hypothesize that if they're killing people we're undertaking something rather creepy.

Summary of my Correspondences with [Character]Sohpie:

Seems like she wants to do some AIM. I don't have AIM yet and she hasn't given me any HANDLE information. Maybe you guys can drag it out of her if I don't get a hold of a reply in time.

Also, I found an article about transferring cassette tapes to your computer and passed it along to Sophie in the hopes that she'll be able to get those tapes into .mp3 format.

http://www.wikihow.com/Transfer-Cassette-Tape-to-Computer

That seems to be the latest in my correspondences with Sophie thus far.

Cheers!

My first Sophie mail in reply to my saying that using a game to bring down Stillhet was a bril idea Very Happy

Be careful about hiding your IP address, though. Gmail encrypts it, so you don't have to worry about it on here, but otherwise, make sure to hide it.

Yep, I got this too.
Haven't shot off an email yet, but when I do, I'll probably act as if I'm from Stillhet to see how they handle it.

Interesting. I'm not sure if it matters or not, but after another email from her she's mentioning that her scanner is now down and she's having trouble with several electronics in her house. (Previously she mentioned the internet cutting in and out.)

Important? Don't know, but I thought to put it here anyway.

Sophie mentioned in my most recent correspondence with her that she "couldn't even watch Supernatural last night". A clew, perhaps? Is there a haunting at her place of residence?

I asked her a couple of "probing" questions about how long she's been living at her current place and has something like this ever happened before. Then I suggested that she have an electrician come over and look over the house to make sure everything was on the up-and-up.

Either Stillhet(?) is involved in what is occurring or it's something else a little bit more mysterious. I'm voting for Stillhet(?), but neither one would surprise me or keep me from being involved, even if it is just through e-mails so far.

EDIT:

Anagramed "Stillhet" just for kicks and giggles. Got some... ahhh... "interesting" results. I have excluded the ones that don't belong (if you anagram "stillhet" you'll understand why).

I ahh.. Won't be able to talk for a day or two. I've passed along some of my files so some of you already, and everything else went to a friend of a friend. They'll be contacting you soon.

So, has anyone got some files? Hopefuly we get something to do and this friend will contact us.

She's so awesome! She sounds like someone I'd want to know IRL. She's just been chit chatting with me, no clues about what's happening.

You wouldn't happen to have the transcript of your conversation with her would you? Sometimes we can miss things that we aren't really looking for in the first place that others might be able to point out.

They're basically this super weapons manufacturer. I'm sorry I can't really say more, my internet could cut out at any second. Damn thing never acted up before.

That's odd, think it might be them? they could access emails etc. so be careful.

Oh no, do you think so? Sad

I'll figure this out after I respond to some more emails. I'm more enclined to think it's because my router is a bit old. I'm having people come in to get me a new one soon.

Haha, that could be it too, I tend to err towards the paranoid when dealing with evil corporations.

Maybe I should be more paranoid too! But they're coming in to fix my router today, so yay!

Then I got the same email as everyone else about nothing for a few days.

Well all she said was that perhaps we should have a hamster superhero since I know some stuff about hamsters.

Hamsters! Maybe we should have a hamster be the hero.

Hey!

Just letting you know stuff I wouldn't mind doing:

Acting (voice, etc)
I can do basic graphic design
I'm fairly good at writing.
Oh, and prolly useless, but I have a good knowledge of hamsters. Razz

I'm kind of busy, I'm doing school and work, but I should have plenty enough time. At the very least I can help out!
