[Trailhead] Jinteki [ENDED]

Hello! I just got back fFrom the GenCon Gaming Convention in Indianapolis. Much fFun and swag was had, but nevermind that. On Saturday evening as I was walking down a street somewhere, a guy discretely handed me a business card. Okay, no big deal, happens all the time, there. The card is fFor a company called "Jinteki," and the name on the business card is R. Amour A.RG. Which anagrams easily to "A Rumor ARG." (Or, i suppose, "a ARG rumor," which would be bad grammar but there you have it.)

On it's own, that would be innocent enough, no big deal, fFunny coincidence maybe. But as I was walking away pondering the card, I thought to fFlip it over. On the back is written "Please help me. -R."

I plan on scanning the card later so you may observe it. I literally got home at 4 AM last night and I'm still unpacking and everything.

I recognize this is all a bit thin so fFar, and it may lead no where. But here's what else is on the card: A website, http://www.jinteki.com/

It turns out Jinteki Consulting is located in Lisbon (which might explain the grammatical errors, if English is their second language?). Their business, as consultants, is to put people in companies to help with big problems, apparently.
"Jinteki," according to the title text on the big logo image, is a japanese word meaning human, or relating to persons.

On said website is an email address. Here is the short exchange which took place thus fFar:

I wrote:
This is a test email, used here to establish communication.
Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?

Jinteki wrote:
Yes, there's a human here.

A small pun, not dismissive, and not desperate fFor attention either. That's as much as I have at the moment. I'm not entirely sure how to proceed.

Edit: removed the question mark. Yes, definitely a trailhead. And something of a mystery all around, as yet.

I've just shot off an email, quite a weird one but oh well.

Quote:
To whomever may come across this email,

My name is Leyton Stone and I recently stumbled upon a sort of 'business card' if you will? The card itself led me to your website which in turn has intrigued me quite considerably.

I would like to know more about Jinteki consulting and learn what sort of "complex key problems" you deal with, specifically... I may be able to use your assistance. Furthermore I would like to know, if it's possible, who R Amour is?

Thank you for your time and patience in dealing with this somewhat odd request,

-L.S

OOPS!!

okay, minor course change to what i stated above! I stated the name of the website wrong! (I did say I got in at 4 AM this morning, having been driving fFor 10 hours prior to that, yeah?) Kudos to solonor fFor suggesting the more correct website.

Still roughly the same amount of information is applicable, though, so no great shakes.

yes, i know, i'm probably not going to live that little mis-step down.

I can say: http://jintekicorp.com/ is definitely the correct site, because it has the picture of the tree on the card.

Poor little confused man in lisbon. But I suppose it was a path worth some pursuit anyway, if only to eliminate it.

Oooo, this looks like fun ^^ If it involves anime/gaming, I'm in XD

Quick question. Does anybody else see the weird spacers on the page? I looked at the source and they showed up as diamonds with question marks. I don't have Japanese text support on this PC...can somebody who does check this out?

Chances are its a dead end, but who knows, lol.

I did see that. It appears to be nothing more than spacers, at the moment (since the styles applied to that text is identified as simply "bumper".) It doesn't readily appear to be any particular characters. i mean, it is something, but nothing which seems to read as anything. Looking at it under a microscope and a hex editor, yaknow. I somewhat anticipate it's probably where redesigned elements will go when the site is evolved. Or .... not.

I don't know if this means anything at all. Just thought it was a wierd thing to put on a website.

Bees?

ILOVEBEES!

Hmmm >.>

Also the diamond shapes w/ ?'s inside them are also a token of misrepresented blowfish ciphering/deciphering. Just a thought, probably means nada though.

Yes indeed it was. I am not sure if this is in anyway related to Bungee (I THINK they did ILB/Halo Related ARGs?) But it was the first thing that popped into my head when reading Rotation's post lol
