SRequal.. cross-over between Sequel and prequel. Kinda like lost.. we'd have a continuation of the story.. with some flashbacks in between.. Yes I know.. it's a awesome idea. JJ call me!

Well i think the main subject of CloverField wasnt the monster, it was the tape and information found after the attack. So CloverField 2 could be about video footage found after a terroist bombing or anything. Kind of a Poughkeepsie Tapes but without all the sadistic killings.

Maybe it should be...*wait for it*...a sequel-sequel! Like, a sequel to what this sequel might be. Then, a couple years down the road, they can make a sequel to fill in the gap. In a half-reverse Star Wars kinda way.
Okay, I don't really think that...this is just a response to the Sprequel and ReSequel ideas floating around. Unless, of course, you guys like it, in which case I said it in all seriousness.

Btw, does anyone else think that Eagle Eye is trying to rip-off Cloverfield's trailer filming style? Every time I see it, it reminds me of the visuals used for Cloverfield.

I absolutely love how you used the term rip-off, as if Cloverfield was the first film of its time to use said filming style. It's utterly ridiculous.

If that's the case, I'm surprised you didn't mention [REC] i.e. Quarantine.

I mean, what, the vague, noise-induced text effects and disrupted/shuttered special effects immediately reminds you of Cloverfield? I mean, come on, it's obvious that you're trying to find a needle in a haystack here. That's like saying the Democrats should sue John McCain, because he's also putting an emphasis on change.

There was no similarity. If anything, it reminded me more of the Transformers' teaser.

Perhaps "rip-off" wasn't the best term ("mimic" might be better...maybe), but I was just drawing a comparison. The trailer styles just seem similar to me, and I happen to think that Eagle Eye looks pretty good (both because of it and in spite of it).
It just seems kinda weird that a trailer so reminiscent of Cloverfield's would be made like this. Though, if I were to make a movie right now, I'd use the visual styles of the Cloverfield trailer, too, 'cause they were pure awesomeness.

Of course, what you said is true...I just didn't mean to sound how I sounded (that's what happens when a cold, such as the one I have now, clogs up my neurons).

Oh, and btw, Quarantine looks awesome, as well, just so you know. Cool

Lol, yeah, sorry about the outburst. Mimic is indeed a better word to use.

No problem, we need a good outburst every once in a while to keep this place alive.

It's a figure of speech. Not every word is meant to be taken literally.
