That all depends: Wongmo may well not keep old files loaded on the web server: when he uploads a new date, he might delete the old. Worth a shot though.

The only downside is they're letters: AND it appears he's just replying to the public; any old joe who emails him... I think the chances are pretty slim we'll get anything meaty out of the letters.

I know that is is kinda pushing the boundaries of etiquette, but if you look at the date we first discovered the Wongmo website and correlate it with the letters date, that may either prove or debunk this theory.

I may be completely wrong: I haven't really devoted much attention to Wongmo. I just don't like him. Very Happy

I think we could get very valuable information out of the letters. We just have to make sure we ask the right questions...

I for one, asked:
Could you please tell me why Fiona Leiphe's name is crossed out for the seminar on September 12th? Is she not going to be there? If not, why won't she be able to attend and who will be leading the seminar on online journaling in her place?

Thinking outside the box: good one.

I'd completely discounted the fact that we could ask Wongmo stuff within the realm of his knowledge. Kudos, worker.

That doesn't mean that I like him (wongmo) now though... Wink

Is this the Missing woman?

Take a look on the Retreat Page:

The Hosted section is crossed out. This maybe our missing woman.

I doubt it. She is much older, and I believe that is crossed meaning "she would be there, but she cancelled". Might be more to it, though.

On the Artist Search page at www.wongmo.org, there is a picture of some folks behind a red curtain. Something about it struck me as clandestine. Can someone more skilled than I make anything out of it?

Ok, here are the Wongmo good and bads divided by type.
Quote:
Light good. Darkness bad.
Dolphins good. Sharks bad.
Whales good. Jellyfish bad.
Love good. Indifference bad.
Seeking good. Ignoring bad.
Nature good. Man made bad.
Creativity good. Corporate cookie cutter culture bad.
Self expression good. Stifling the self bad.
Feeling good. Numbness bad.
Religion good. Religion bad.
Laughter good.
Sadness good too.
Music good.
Art good. Cultural ignorance bad.
Ocean good. City bad.
Reflection good. Ignorance bad.
Silence good.
Affirmation good.
Self esteem good. Poor self image bad.
Open minded good. Skeptical bad.
Emotion good. Logic bad.
Good good. Bad bad.
Does anyone see a pattern here?

Also, it is of note that the good and bads do not always alternate. If you assign a "1" to the goods and "0" to the bads, you get the following string.

10101010101010101010111101010111010101100

Plugging it into a binary translator reveals "ªª¯WV".

If we reverse the "1"s and "0"s, we get "UUP¨©"

Not certain that any of this means anything but the games seems to have stalled for now so thought I would explore...

"Now more than ever"

I think this is a good way to go. There are 41 characters, if this is correct.

10101 010101 010101 010111 101010 111010 101100

Quick though. add a zero to the begining of it to make 42 characters. (Answer to Life the Univerese and Everything? too Funny) Zero eft of because it is insignificant.

Now how to look at it. Is it 6 groups of 7 characters or 3 groups of 14? 3 of 14 might be too big. Lets ttry 6 of 7

I found a good flash Binary to Decimal to converter:
http://www.were-here.com/content/templates/articles.asp?articleid=207&zoneid=11

21 42 21 23 42 58 44

That's as far as I can think it. Might be a way to get these to correspond to letters of the alphabet.

Someone want to take it from there? This maybe be the wrong.

Bible Referrences?

I just noticed on the Music pages that it might be Bible references.

Who "Dances with Whales": Jonah

What's Jonah 3:12? I think I used the American Standard Version from: http://www.ebible.org/bible/ASV/Joshua.htm

"Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, for every tribe a man."

12 Tribes? Anyone else want to run with this?

Just figured I would google tide & Bible. I found this:
http://www.grouppublishing.com/prodinfo.asp?prodid=2807

"Tide Pool Wonder"? Another Jonah Reference.

Maybe a password or login?

a few things that have been troubling me.
1. there is a similar happy face pic on wongmos site.
2. I remember somwhere saying that the 5 3 5 was important, this could relate to the haikus on wongmos site also.
3 has anyone looked into the pic of the music and the red book? Is that a red journal that leiphe sells?

sorry if this is already discussed, i am a newbie at this.

Wongo's "writings"

Does anyone know if the image on the writings page has been figured out? I am talking about the red chinese/japanese symbol and the writing behind it in the photo.

I have looked at a few sites and there doesnt see to be any hint as to what it might be translated to (if its possible to translate of course).

I know God was asking the same question (where is he, btw?), and he was even going to translate it himself (which is impossible, of course, if you don't speak the language). So I asked my Chinese friend to look at them (though I personally am sure that it is just a stock image). She tried, but the majority of the kanji are so blurry that she couldn't. She sad it's definitely an old poem. I can discern a few kanji myself ("inside", "big", "husband", and a couple others), but, like I said - they mean nothing without context, i.e. accompanying kanji. However, about 30% of them are hidden - so I really don't know how this would be at all possible to translate???

I've seen that on here in the last six hours but I can't recall where.

UPDATE: Came across it again, so made a note...

Is this the same voice as in "carelessly.m_u"?

Do you think it's supposed to be?
