My guess? Even if 42 isn't running it, perhaps its a way for the movie creators to say "Hey, there'll be an ARG for the Wonder Woman movie".

Maybe a hint for us to go looking for Wonder Woman kloos out on the net?

Or maybe DC is pulling a Marvel for the movie, starting to integrate the movie continuities?

Could also be for the Mortal Kombat / DC game, since both Wonder Woman and the Joker are playable characters. Now wouldn't THAT be something.

Can now see some forehead..and the text above it reads WOND so when fully uncoverd it will say Wonder Woman

A question in part 3 in the top left of the uncovered part of the poster is that a bat or a plane?

looks like a plane to me. When you click the poster and it gives you a bigger image, it definitely looks like a plane to me. Maybe a bomber of some sort?

looked at the two images, and I don't think that it's just a coincidence. The bricks in the WSS poster don't match up to the bricks in the WW background. The WSS bricks are clearly bigger, and there are less bricks between the eyes in that one than in the WW background.

Just an observation.

The "joker image" thread on this board posts a link here where they throw an off hand comment regarding it possibly ending up being a picture of Sarah Palin.

Sadly, I think that's a fairly plausible explanation - Day 1 starts off with "It's time for a new 'W'", which could be a reference to our current president. The large military motif hinted at in the background. The numerous "patriotic" trappings (American Flag, Eagle, etc.)

Plus this could very well be counting down to election day.

Should be interesting to see what happens...

BTW, now that I look at the ww2 bomber again... aren't those rotors on the wings? looks more like a v-22 osprey - http://www.military-today.com/helicopters/bellboeing_v_22_osprey.jpg - the rotors are tilt able so they could be in at various angles...
