Uh... the movie has a page. Produced by Joel Silver, slated for 2011 release.

Since the announcement was today, might take a bit.

And if it's a fan hoax, it's a well made one. And with the company logos on the bottom right, they're looking at getting their asses sued to high heaven, so I doubt that; it would have been shut down day one.

 		Yeah, maybe they just wanted to make a splash announcement of the actress they had cast in the role. I think there was some bad press and disappointment after the Joss Whedon script fell through.

I think she will be a good actress for this role.

I'm split too. It's pretty blatantly Photoshopped but I can't find the source image they used for MF on Google so who knows. I just can't imagine a movie studio releasing an image of the heroine before the film has even been announced.

Think about it, with most super hero movies there is a ton of build up and teasing as to what the hero looks like. Think Iron Man (the suit), The Dark Knight (the Joker), even Spider-Man was kept under wraps for awhile as far as how the costume looked (remember the Alex Ross controversy?).

Here, in the first public mention of the movie, they completely reveal the star in her full costume? Logos or not, I'm just not buying it. I could be wrong, but I doubt it...

It flies in the face of all marketing, especially viral marketing, to reveal it all at the beginning.

 		Hmm. Not sure what I think about this. I'm a Marvelite, so I don't know Wonder Woman that well but I always thought she was a little more, well, womanly than

comes across as being. I think someone more in Jessica Biel's ball park would be a better fit, if not Biel herself.

Thank you sir, that confirms it, this is fake.

If there were any chance that this was real, even being photoshopped, the movie company would have taken their own photograph of MF to use, not swipe something off the net.

Thank goodness too, she would have been a horrible casting choice. She can barely act and WW is Amazonian (i.e. one tall, built woman) which Megan Fox is decidedly NOT...

With the stock photo, I'm certain it was a fan-made page. That's some damn fine photoshopping though! Very Happy

Who knows, maybe it was a class project for a marketing class? Either way, it's fake.

I took both photos into Photoshop for comparison:



Notice:

1.) Same Head (albeit rotated, and with a mouth from a different photo)/Eyes/Nose/Hair/Earrings
2.) Same collar bone
3.) Same Hands (with the top finger from the right hand repeated on both hands since the original finger on the left hand was partially covered)
4.) the Right shoulder (which is covered in the original photo) is actually a different hue from the rest of her upper body and looks painted.
5.) Same rings on the hand (The giveaway, it would have been easy to remove so I'm not sure why they didn't)
6.) The skin-tone of the breasts (which aren't MF's) doesn't match the collar area either.
7.) Neither her bracelets nor her corset cast shadows on her save for the default drop shadows added through Photoshop. In reality there would be some shadow play behind the gold emblem on her right side where it rests on her breast, as well as on the back of the bracelets where they would be pushing into her skin.

All in all, a great job with Photoshop, but clearly a fake and fan-made as no studio would swipe and use someone else's photo when they could shoot the actress themselves easily.

 		The wonder woman picture makes her look alot better then the original, any idea where the original was shot? She does look unwonder womanly extremely so though. she looks more like ...a woman of easy virtues then an amazonian princess upholding the american/themyscryian way... ecspecially with her lips parted like that. imho people look about twenty times less intelligent with their mouths open. <.<


or it could be someone leaking it.

 		Now that you mention it, it does look fake. She looks retarded with her left arm further up her hip than her right arm (in the WW pic) without her head being cocked to the left.

Oh well.
