When is too late to join an Arg?

I couldn't find anything about this particular topic, but my problem isn't about finding args, it's that while looking through the forums, all the args already have like 60 or so posts, and many seem to be over, or really far ahead, or like deleted and that island game, just about over. And that Eldritch Errors game seems to be in a weird limbo.

When is it too late, or are things too far ahead to join an arg?

Uh, when it's over?

I mean really, you'll end up horribly behind in some cases, but what the heck - it's worth the experience. Just don't be surprised if most of what you manage to figure out is already known, and thus be graced with many trout. It's never too late to at least follow along.

It really depends on whether those 60 posts happened overnight or over the course of a month. Plus, those posts are not the game, they are only discussion about the game. Go to the trailhead yourself, see how much is there, then decide if it's too much. Those 60 posts might all be people saying, "me too!"

You could get your feet wet with BahHumbugElf/Santa's Blog which is recent and, obviously, won't run past the holiday, or come along for The Game Is A Cover Up, which has moved slowly in its first weeks and is expected to run for a year. This Is My Milwaukee began a week or so ago so that's another option. Voices In The Static has a way to go, and this would be a good time to catch up. Or you could wait for something like Rachel's Walk that hasn't launched yet. And welcome!
