Penn -

Move faster. If this is a mole operation and Russell's been playing us we
have to know what he was looking for sooner rather than later.

Use force if necessary, but no-kill order in effect. If he's been with the
Order this whole time then we have a lot of information to extract from
him.

File 2/15 releasing later tonight.

Guest Russell entered into security department and acquired data unknown
from our server room. As requested, attempted to keep "7" note from him
until analysis was complete, but unable to do so.

Audio recording found by analyst, and turned over to us within an hour of
breach. Recording attached.

Here are my thoughts:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"It's like death, only different,"[/i] is a line from a book called Vineland, by Thomas Pynchon. It is the definition for the word "Thatatoid," which is a shortened version of "Thatatoid Personality."

"and I am trying to think this was all only a matter of chance." is a line from Magnolia. The narrator says it three times.

The other two parts of the clue in the audio file are "They looked toward Mecca, and a little toward Dixie. It'll be red as the devil."

At first, i assumed the last 2 sentences were also quotes from something, but after a bit of digging (with no results), it struck me that vineland and magnolia might be roads. I plugged them into google maps and viola, there is a Vineland Ave and Magnolia Ave corner in North Hollywood, CA.

So now I am assuming that the last 2 sentences are directions. Haven't figured out exactly what they're pointing to, however.

Well Mecca refers to the religious monument in the middle east and dixie is usually talking about the south (or Georgia), so maybe its south east from that intersection

Don't know if this is helpful at all, but here is google street view of the SE corner of that intersection from both sides.

anyone in north hollywood? i can't go I'm going to be out of town.

that street corner's well lit though, so it's no big deal for someone to just walk up there. Lot of theatres and coffee shops around.

joinin'

I'm looking for a late start. i was reading the thread so far and I signed up, so I guess i'm just lacking the emails. They seem to be leading the whole thing, so will i get the new ones if i've signed up, or is it exclusive to the people that put witty things into the "What you will give to the Home Office (or something along those lines)" box? Anyways, im looking forward to it

Director -

Caught a tail. Large but otherwise nondescript. Letter T in a circle
tattooed on the forearm. Thus far been observing only.

Please advise: Engage or evade?

Maybe he is just dumb and it's a Sun Cross or something? Dunno

Also, just a thought, Theseus is the bartender from Penny Dreadful who is referred to as "The Glove" (from Hail To Frogs.jpg)
