OK, so we (me and coworker) met up with rebel, who spotted us right away, in front of the Guggenheim. He mentioned how one guy looked like our guy and we went up to him and said "Follow the money" to which the guy reached for an envelope and then walked away. The envelope contained two copies of a note with our instructions... I don't have a scan of it currently, so following were the instructions:

Quote:

Go to the obelisk in Central Park. On the southernmost translation plaque, note the first letter of the following words, in order: 3rd, 26th, 14th, 47th, 40th, 67th, 52nd, 63rd, 64th, 58th, 28th, 73rd, 25th, 91st (consider hyphens as spaces).

Head to the location indicated by the letters you deciphered. Answer the phone which will ring every quarter hour. Listen closely. You will only have one short ring to pick it up.

Go to the location given to you over the phone.

At the top of the stairs you will find relief with the following clues atop the same post:

1.Jack-o-lantern Partner +3
2.Bat Partner +0
3.Book Partner +3

This solution will give you the final destination. Go there.

At the entrance, there is no need to go in, as the cache is behind the little dog. Transmit this information to Salinger as quickly as possible.

So, rebel knew that the obelisk mentioned was Cleopatra's Needle and we started heading over there. Sadly due to my own mistake and loss of sense of direction we were using the wrong translation tablet at first, but after that we were able to decode the message to say "Swedish Cottage".

We asked for some directions to the Swedish Cottage, and once there found the pay phone. I noticed someone hiding somewhat in the bushes/behind a fence post taking pictures of us. The phone started to "Beep" and we weren't sure if that was indeed our call. After a few attempts I spoke to someone that said "You are good. Head to the Bethesda Fountain Terrace".

We quickly looked it up (everyone had mobile devices) and found pictures, and then asked someone for the quickest route. After a long walk (we took the Ramble path - that was fun!) we ended up at the Bethesda Fountain, walked up the stairs and found that one of the posts. Without a pen we were stumped, and at first didn't get this clue. The three depictions were: Witch, Owl and Lamp.

We attempted to cheat and rebel managed to recall that there is a dog statue named Balto in the park. We ended up going towards the statue (which according to google was near the children's zoo in the park), but alas there was nothing. My coworker however managed to figure out, while standing around, and what now seems beyond obvious, that W+3, O+0 and L+3 = ZOO. Thankfully our hunch about Balto lead us in the right direction.

After entering the ZOO area, we decided not to look for a literal "little dog" and I noticed our camera guy standing around. Rebel spotted a sign that mentioned "little dog" that was on one of the benches. We ran over and sure enough there was the CD envelope with the CD mentioned, as well as the following blood money:

2x 20 British Pounds
1x 1000 Russian Rubbles
1x $2 with the "This is blood money" sticker
1x 50 Euro
1x 100 Euro

This was alot of fun, and I will have some photos/video to post tonight...[/b]

To add, I had a lot of fun...to do it in a small group was great...and it was just a blast to do. The clues were well put together...not too hard...and it was all pretty much self-contained in the park. And that ZOO clue was a sort of "doh" moment but the satisfaction of finding the "stash" was awesome.

roadblock?

So have we got anywhere with the impression?

We were into IBBC within the hour with the LA clues.

Frustrating.

I have tried every possible combo that I can think of from every possible angle I can think of and I still have nothing to show for it. I am really stumped on this one.

From the /intranet source the username is YERDAN01. Now all we need is the password. I tried many, using thebruce's very helpful imprint image, but couldn't crack it. Mad

Naah, that's just the page remembering what you tried last and filling in the box for you automatically. Try typing in a different username, failing, and then looking at the new source code.

Everything I covered, thebruce covered, with the same results.

I switched over to using the code on the CD as a password for logging into the IBBC... but couldn't come up with a correct username. So, I'm out of ideas.

New to this

I am not sure how to label this, or even if it is important.

I was reading through the source on
http://www.globaleyesdevelopmentfund.org/directors.aspx
and it led me to try some links in the /images/ folder, which is where I found some inconsistencies. I found that the live site was using certain jpegs for the pictures and names of the board of directors. There was one piece of the page that was using the (seemingly conventional image names based on IBBC) "usual" naming to construct the page. Fishing around, I found the following:

http://www.globaleyesdevelopmentfund.org/images/board_04.jpg
http://www.globaleyesdevelopmentfund.org/images/board_05.jpg
http://www.globaleyesdevelopmentfund.org/images/board_06.jpg
http://www.globaleyesdevelopmentfund.org/images/board_07.jpg

Comparing these images to what is live shows spelling/name changes and two face pictures that are completely different. The board_04.jpg Harold Dunlevy looks like the person shown in the opening video, when the camera zooms in from above on 2 people having a discussion.

Using this same method, I found that there was also an unused image on the IBBC site, suggesting more areas of the website...
http://www.theibbc.com/images/home_06.jpg
It is dim but you can see Careers, Sitemap, etc.

As I mentioned at the beginning I am new to this, but the information seemed important enough to mention.

Here's to hoping...

Hi ClanDchong & welcome!

Nice find you made. I don't think it's game-relevant, but it's interesting to know that the PM reshuffled his actors and forgot to clean up. Smile Some of those pics are much in demand at the moment and you can see those faces in various ARGs. "James Darowe" of the Board of Directors is also busy at the Citizens of Virtue and the "Harold Dunley" you found is involved with Clawshun Industries.
