ATL Drop 2

Transtar wrote:
I'm sure the ATL is well covered. As for the codes to find the car I didn't notice the website had been updated until today, and I can't find the 3rd account # for case 2.
The ones I did find were:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1) Top Right of money tracker
2)Left side of The Case
3)Top Right on the money map
4) Home under Ultimate Reward

I assume it is on the Find the car page but I don't see it

any ideas would be appreciated!

I'll be out of town on Wednesday, and won't be able to go after the ATL drop. We'll see who else is after it.

The final code for case two:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
On the Login/Register page under the Login: button

 Whoot!

Hey all!

I'm the friend of Toby's (Tobias Greenich) that found the money in Scottsdale and Phoenix the other day.

I put in the serial numbers into the money tracker (I had already given them to Toby, I'm sure he had done the same already) and noticed that it seems to randomly spit out a story about the money and bases it's location of the money on your IP address. I'd almost guess that the actual serial numbers don't mean anything and that the money itself is there to garner interest in the game. Perhaps a way of getting others interested by finding out about the money someone else has found by playing.

On another note, finding this money has really been great, been unemployed a while and will be short for rent in March if I don't find work, so I think I'm going to do everything I can to track down more of the drops to help with rent.

I figured out the following is the drop schedule for Arizona (the next 3 drops):

10 AM - Tucson
Noon - Mesa
2 PM - Phoenix

Tucson is a 2 hour drive from Mesa, so that may not be too bad. I live in Phoenix (2.5 hour drive), so I figured I'd drive down to Tucson that morning, get the drop at that location, then quickly head to Mesa and hopefully get there before the drop becomes available and pick up that drop. The Phoenix drop should then be available to finish off my run.

Doesn't look like anyone here is playing except Toby & his significant other, and I. Sounds like we may be in competition for the Mesa drop, which is counter productive, so I figure I'll give him 50% of the Mesa drop contents if he is able to help search for it, even if I find it.

Of course, I'd hate to drive all the way to Tucson to find that someone else there is playing and has found the money... >.< I suppose risk is all part of the game, as long as I find at least 1 of the drops, it should pay for the gas I used.

Oh, on another note; I think I may have a clue on how to get the "Case 3 Accounts" - unless someone else has figured it out and I'm barking up the wrong tree. I've noticed that when you put in the serial numbers for the money it has these round map graphics that scrolls around quickly. On the side of the map circle is a small circle that flashes a number sequence. These are several different instances of these map circles, so maybe these numbers are the account numbers? I may be completely off my rocker, but when I feel up to it, I may try to record the screen and playback slowly to write down the numbers.

So the Columbus drop hits tomorrow and we're forecast to get 6 inches of snow. Rolling Eyes I wonder if they'll delay it.

For those who have already done drops - do they usually hide them "downtown" or are they putting them throughout the city?

Tools

I won't be able to participate in the drops tomorrow, but here are a few helpful tips to those of you that will:

Bring pliers - a short needlenose would probably work best. The money is jammed in there and you'll want a tool to get it out. Just be careful not to rip it or hurt yourself.

GPS - if your phone has GPS download Google Maps and you'll really be able to see your target. Otherwise have a friend on the phone who can pull up Google Maps or Google Earth and guide you toward your destination.

Camera - document your hunt and share your story. I know I love hearing about the various experiences. It all happens so fast that you'll be glad to have some photos to look back on.

Currency Converter - if you find the money at the same time as other people you'll want to divide it up, which is difficult since it is mostly in foreign currency. The easiest is to have a friend on the phone who can plug in the information and convert it to US dollars. You might also want to bring some change ($10 and $5) in case you need to split an odd amount.

Have fun! It is pretty exciting to go on these live hunts, and this is a pretty easy one since they give you the exact coordinates. Hopefully you'll come away with a handful of bills, and maybe even meet a few people with a similar hobby.

San Diego drop tomorrow around 2PM it seems - are my San Diego peeps with me? Smile

Hopefully we'll get a bigger haul this time...

The first one in Miami was on an island halfway to Miami Beach, where as far as I knew there isn't a whole lot of parking to begin with.

I won't be able to make the second drop due to office commitments. Damn my responsibility!

I feel your pain. My sinuses revolted last week and I had to take a sick day, the one I had reserved for tomorrow. Now I get to ride the desk tomorrow rather than the enjoying the thrill of the chase.

Wouldn't miss it! I've just gotta bugger out of work a bit early. Not sure if I'll be able to leave prior to the countdown, but once the location is revealed I'll take off.

Hmm, on one hand, it's good that it's not necessarily downtown since both my house and office are nowhere near downtown. On the other hand, if they are putting them in real obscure places, this snow storm might be doubly bad.

Am I the only person to speak up for Columbus so far?

They're not always in obscure places, at all. The London one was pretty central.

Change of plans for me - I will be around and going after the Atlanta drop. Hopefully the rain won't be too bad, but I can't complain compared to the weather some of you will be getting.

I just wanted to let you guys know that someone is on the Dayton drop (me). I've been lurking for a long while and playing this and Milwaukee and I'll be available. Let me know if you're planning on going too!
