It bugs me now that all anyone has to do (as per the Official U.S. Rules) was call a number and leave your name and information to get just as many chances to win the sweepstakes as us folks finding the actual numbers. Sad (By the by, the number by your name on the "Find The Car" page isn't a score but the number of entries you get in the raffle). Man, it's still cool to sort of be in the running for a new car but really...I also feel sorta gyped. Like some student who just did a whole 3 pages worth of math computations for the class and the teacher says at the end "Oh, you could have just gotten the answer out of the back of the book!"

 		NYC drop
I'm going in for the NYC drop tomorrow, have my dear BF on his computer at home, a pair of pliers for the drop, and even have a card written out for agent salinger in a ziploc to leave behind because the weather is supposed to be nasty.

Jetting out the door as soon as the drop is posted, if like on the last NYC drop the coordinates change will someone please post in this thread? I have this thread bookmarked on the phone.

Anyone else going for NY please PM me and we can meet up!

 		Well it looks they've added a new symbol to the map key... to designate drops that have been CANCELED. As of now, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Oxford are outta luck =/


And regarding those amounts found- they all sound pretty impressive. It's too bad no one picked up New York! Wonder why I don't see San Diego mentioned though... **glares at PMs**

I checked the five codes you guys put up and i just got a new one for the third case that you guys don't have;

begins with 2709. (not full number so as not to spoil anything)

anyhoo is that just me?

also still doing Minneapolis in six hours. if anyone else is doing it please let me know so we can coordinate.

hey guys, sorry about last post. got my numbers mixed up. the 2709 number is for case number two.

but did find out something really interesting. previous posts claim that any money that is tracked is considered blood money and then points to each persons location. i did it at home with my money and with the code of the bill in the website itself and it said the money was near me in minnesota. but tonight i'm at work and i got a new bill and did it and i gave me west LA. which got me excited until i realized that my work's internet is routed through a server in west LA. so actually the map is based on your IP Address, despite the monitary code to insert.

just thought i would share that with you guys.

 		Blah, I realize my last post sounded really ranty and the thought process that I was actually trying to get across never made it:

What I was TRYING to say is that getting money and a chance at a car is indeed pretty nifty. But nowhere near as nifty as being an ARGer that gets to be part of a really cool story that wouldn't move forward without them (or at least wouldn't be quite as cool Laughing). And it just seemed like Sony sort of said "don't care about anyone who's actually playing the game."

So that was really directed towards Sony (or maybe some lawyerful department of Sony), not the PMs who are still totally awesome. Just wanted to clarify that. Very Happy

And good luck to everyone going out today!

 		I'm surprised they haven't cancelled Columbus since they cancelled Cincy and Dayton. We've got a Level 2 Snow Emergency on the roads.

SPEC: they haven't canceled Columbus, just relocated it. Instead of being across from a major federal building, it will just be locked to the back of someone's truck in a residential neighborhood, where the person doing the drop is working from home today since he can't drive to his day job.
